And still, they will probably fill the place with Disney College Program people for the actors which means the immersion part will be pretty iffy.

If we do use the cruise line pricing as a guide, keep in mind that Disney's prices are nearly double what other cruise lines charge.

A bare bones inside room for a 2-day Disney cruise for a couple can be as low as $1,300. Or a verandah level at $2,000. Or a concierge level at $3,000.

It seems the initial teaser number of $2,000 for two nights seems about right.

A balcony in space? That wouldn't work. You know, the whole no air thing.

Princess Leia did it.

Seriously, think of the hotel enclosed within an exterior building whose interior serves as a projection screen.

If you had the opportunity to see the 2017 Roger Waters tour,, a significant portion of the show had a.4k projection of space mapped on the main screen.and the Battarsea power plant prop. When looking at the screen, you experienced a situation where the space image encompassed your entire field of view. The effect was so good one began to feel a sense of disorientation.

Or it was the second hand smoke....

Which I understand , but if you’re at a price point for a small part of the world then minimize that even further for them being Star Wars fans. You’re going to have a bad time.

I agree with you 100%. I’m usually one of the people who understand high prices, but what we’re talking about here is beyond high.
Why price out your own market?

From Disney's PR from the D23 Expo:

Immersive Star Wars-Themed Hotel
Fans can live out their Star Wars adventures beyond the theme parks with an immersive experience at a groundbreaking new Star Wars–themed hotel concept. The epic new experience will take guests to a galaxy far, far away and will be seamlessly connected to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the new land set to open in 2019 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Unlike anything that exists today, the new luxury resort will completely immerse guests in an authentic Star Wars story. The journey through space begins the moment guests arrive, as everyone boards a starship and departs together for a multi-day Star Wars adventure. An opening date for the new hotel has not been announced.

There hasn't been "a pitch". Or a universal "theory". Just the promise of an "immersive experience".

Incorrect. Some people have had personal introductions and presentations on the concept.

Everyone here is guessing because nothing has been said about what that actually entails.

Incorrect. However they did not reveal all details at the time because it was still being hashed out. And it would be foolish to think things would not evolve and change either from the earlier pitch/concept.

What's the point in having "shared experiences" between the park and resort if you don't get to the park until the end of the "trip". What do you do with your luggage when you check out if you go straight to the park?

Samething everyone does.

At the time the pitch did not include exclusive access to the park - only exclusive perks.
