You can't physically chase a non moving ramp, now you are just being silly.

Look at that dirty ramp. I feel like I need a NSFW tag...

Ohh this one's a strap on, getting kinda naughty... ;)

Had Universal just built something at the level of hydrolators I doubt anyone would've bat an eye. That would be an inexpensive way to thematically move large groups of people quickly with a charming amount of fun (exactly like the purpose they served in Epcot). But they didn't do that.

Universal actually did do that... in the queue for Gringotts. You board a "elevator" to head further into the bank's depths.

Aren't the elevators in Escape from Gringotts just like hydrolators?

Yes, I know of 4 attractions using a similar concept

Living Seas Hydrolators
MIB Elevator
Journey to the Center of the Earth ...elevator thing at DisneySea
Escape from Gringott's.

I believe Journey and Escape actually do go down 1 level? but the others don't.

Edited to add that both MIB and Escape also don't bring you back to "ground" level the way the Hydrolators did.

Journey basically does bring you to ground level ON the ride so to speak.

hrmm... website sure looks awful 'kid club' age focused..

Yeah, it does.
I'd imagine that there isn't any scenario where a Star Wars hotel wouldn't be full of little ones.
From my perspective, it's something I would have only done w my with my kids.
If this opened when they were little, I would have tried hard to make such a trip happen.
Now that they will be 18 in January, they themselves wouldn't really be into it.

My youngest is 16+ so they will still play along... but not if its aimed at 7yr olds. I would do it as adults.. like we would be happy to do cruises and play with the stuff they have on the boat... but again, not when its aimed at 7yr olds. You can make entertainment that caters to both young and old.. I mean, it's what Disney is known best for. But this art and presentation really has me worried. The first presentation I saw did not have me concerned one bit about being adults w/o kids necessarily. This.. has me worried.

Not much of what I’m seeing here seems to be playing to a ‘traditional’ Star Wars fan, either classic era or new. I’m not sure what it’s playing to... to be honest. Does my space cruise also have Fhloston Paradise as a port of call? What time is the midnight buffet?

This is a new type of immersive vacation that only Disney could create – a two-night, cruise-style itinerary where you’ll become the hero of your own adventure in an experience that surrounds you 24/7 in Star Wars storytelling.
Like many of us have been saying. Think murder mystery dinner + ocean cruise. Only all the time, except when you get an excursion to Batuu in a bus-rethemed-at-space-shuttle....

Jesus that concept art. No way in hell it's going to come out like that. I counted over 10 equity performers in one image, more of them than guests it would seem. Not going to happen. Also, anyone else think the room renders show rooms that are just way way.. to small to put a family in?

I think a lot of those people you see that look like equity performers are just adults in cosplay as that will be part of the experience. And this is a "cruise ship" type experience so think "cruise ship" type room which means small and cramped. Hopefully they plan activities like a "cruise ship" that can keep you busy all day and in your room as little as possible.
