Just some ideas I want to throw at you all to see what you think. First off, I studied screenplay writing at UCF. If I were writing it, I would -

Make the two droids look old, outdated, and washed out. Wise relics trying to find respect. They may break down often, but no one makes droids like they used to. They would be the pit of jokes, like "You still have a running R2 unit? Seriously?"

I would start with a scene of the younger next generation characters going on an adventure and getting into trouble and then bailed out by a character from the older generation (Han or Luke).

I think they might start it the same way they started each film in the original trilogy, by introducing the villain (or an immediate threat as in the case of the probe droid in TESB).

There's no way it will be ready in time.
Or rather, there's no way it will be good and ready by then.

Two completely separate items. It will be ready when it is ready, and not a moment earlier. It will be good only if it is good, and whether it is good, is not dependent on when it is ready.

I thought this is worth noting that Bob Iger said yesterday on the call that WDI is hard at work developing Star Wars projects for both Disneyland and WDW.

Surely. The big questions are "When will it be officially announced?" and -- more importantly -- "What is the timeframe for it to be built?" It's pretty inevitable at this point that Star Wars is coming is the relatively near future to both Orlando and Anaheim (and probably Tokyo as well).

I don't believe that Disney will have any new attractions built and in place by the time that the movie debuts. However, they could have events around the park(s) celebrating the premier of the movie since it will be a pretty big deal. With how crazy it gets around the holidays, imagine how much more crazy it could be if they have some type of park event in DHS or in DL. Insanity.
