Ummm, has anybody else noticed whylightbulb's avatar?

:D

*runs to avoid stampede*

Well...Hopefully 2011 is something big, right?:D;)

It's HRRR from Uni.

I think it's the potter ride vehicle and nobody has figured it out yet. If it is, someone will notice soon and it will go viral in a big way.

Hmm...Maybe?

It could be HRRR too but it looks like it might be suspended by a metal beam. If so, it's potter.

whylightbulb's avatar is Men in Black Alien Attack, dude.

Really?

Both of you?

I'm no fan of going outside, but you guys need to go to Universal more.
:dazzle:

[Speaking of which that is an awesome avatar!]

I'm daring but certainly not insane enough to face Universal's legal team over something like that. Besides the Potter vehicles are four-passenger not six.

Exactly. Stuff like confidential, highly guarded, secret photos of the Potter vehicles, blueprints, concept art, etc., should not be made public at this point.

Therefore, I volunteer to take it all and keep it well hidden away from prying eyes.
Anyone.....?

Not this again.

Al went with a rumor that was at best dubious a few months back and now he can't just admit that and move on. The idea that this ride was going to be designed in a cheap and deluxe model is laughable. I think he was still fuming because the WDW queue for TSMM and the entire Pixar Place concept ain't going to DL. But then WDW will never get RSR as I've been saying. By the way, the fact that WDW won't be getting RSR was confirmed today.

Thanks for confirming the ST2 news whylightbulb.

Would you really put it past TDO and Parks & Resorts? Especially after you have seen there attitude toward new attractions and especially refurbs? (Space mountain, pirates, etc.)

Does anyone else think its bizare that Little Mermaid and Star Tours 2 will be opening up in about the same month?

Its funny how after 10 years of not doing anything of substance at the parks and garbage to mediocre attractions Disneyland will be getting two REAL Disney rides at once.

I don't know, I think they'd be dumb to not bring Star Tours 2.0 to DHS. I mean, it doesn't make any sense why WDW would be left out of the upgrades. In any case, I seriously hope DHS gets it, as the current Star Tours is definitely showing its age these days.

Well, I went back and forth for a few minutes trying to decide whether I should change my avatar to something more Harry Potterish for just a short while, then change it back. I decided against it for now. Maybe I'll change my mind at some point in the future:drevil:.

Cool.
Just remember to send me hi-res copies first, so that I may approve it.

Honestly, Con, I wouldn't... But, I can probably surmise that TDO was told to take a hike on this one... TWDC would bend over backwards to kiss George Lucas's backside... And honestly, I wouldn't mind them telling TDO to take a hike.. Someone needs the gust to tell them where to shove it...

I do find it odd, though I think this was just with WDW or whoever dragging their feet. I think DL wanted it installed for this coming spring opening, but it got pushed back another year. Lets hope this restarts their Tomorrowland re-haul.

Though I think Disney could do a pretty good advertising campaign for this in the summer. You can pull more families in DCA, and more thrill seekers into Disneyland, which the truth is the other way around.

Major thread drift here, but just to be fair, the box office receipts really don't agree. Here's how Box Office Mojo currently ranks the Pixar films:

1 Finding Nemo $339,714,978
2 Up $265,851,836
3 The Incredibles $261,441,092
4 Monsters, Inc. $255,873,250
5 Toy Story 2 $245,852,179
6 Cars $244,082,982
7 WALL-E $223,808,164
8 Ratatouille $206,445,654
9 Toy Story $191,796,233
10 A Bug's Life $162,798,565

While it might possibly be argued that, adjusted for inflation, Toy Story and A Bug's Life were bigger hits, Cars still made more than WALL-E and Ratatouille, which were both highly regarded by critics.

I should have specified "American" BO receipts, but it doesn't matter. Cars merchandise flies off shelves (because they're cars), and that's all that matters in Synergy World.

Your photo makes me think we have some mutual friends.
Quite possibly. The only thing is I enjoy my anonymity online because it allows me to say whatever I want without the worry of repercussions in my business. I didn't work that much with Norm but I do know him by the way. Do you know Rick Morris or David Cobb?

Never met Rick, but Dave Cobb is a blast, really cool guy.

And I totally understand wanting to remain semi-anonymous on forums when you're in the industry.
