Are there any alternatives to renting a car to get from St. Pete Beach to WDW?

Any suggestions welcome :)

That's what I thought.

I checked out Amtrak (reasonable prices) but it leaves too late as well as some private shuttles (too pricey). So, I have rented a car from PIE and will return it to the Swan & Dolphin. I just hate those Tampa freeways!!!!:fork:

They're not so bad. You just have to remember the mentality of drivers in Florida... "my life is more important than everyone elses... MOVE IT!/my time is more important than anyone elses... MOVE IT!/a higher percentage of my taxes when to pay for this road... MOVE IT!"

I didn't realize so many Rhode Islanders have relocated to FL!

Give Quicksilver a call :)

Thanks for that reminder; I've requested a quote with a notation as being on WDWMagic but looking at their regular rates, it's $170-$200 one-way depending on the vehicle. My car rental is about $60 for the day.

And your point is.....???
We all go 80 so you go 80 and everybody is happy:ROFLOL:
It's when those figging canadiens come down and go 50 that things get bad.

^It's the kilometers to miles thing, we swear.

I think most Canadian "snowbirds" (winter tourists) know the lay of the land when it comes to driving speeds, but for people in cities like Toronto who barely know what a moving car on a freeway looks like, it might be intimidating. :lookaroun

Oh, I don't plan on going slow ... I'm with the "move it or lose it" crowd AND a Canadian

Heck, I just drove through our first winter snow storm on rural highways ... I'd like to see a Floridian up here for that! I just find it hard navigating and looking for the exit with an 8 year old as my wingman! :)

Believe I know your pain, I grew up in Minnesota.
Also we love the Candians down here, you help pay our taxes.
