Well, I`ve enhanced the video and 3 things have become apparent:

The blue stars merging into the white stars as Shelley said. Blue stars a lot further down out of the core and into the tunnel proper too.

Either the white stars in the same place have multiplied, or the blue stars are supported by a structure - aside from a parallax effect you wouldn`t get with a star cloth, at least one white star `dissappears` from view as a vertical structure passes infront of it.

Towards the end of the 2nd video, what appears to be the symmetrical `flower` arrangement of triangles does indeed appear to cycle from unlit to lit in a clockwise pattern.

The fruits of the past few months are beginning to be seen :D
Fantastic! :sohappy:

The part in blue is what intrigues me the most... :drevil:

I love this thread. :D It has put me in an EPCOT mood.

Thanks for investigating, Shelley! I cannot wait until the descent is finally finished... and the triangles are put to good use! :animwink:

Martin,

Thanks for looking and lightening the video!!!!

Now that you mention the lights and a structure, that reminded me of what it looked like. I totally forgot that part! It looks like they are inset into long metal strips. I definitely tested how far one could lean out of an omnimover :)!

The light cycle is a really cool effect, and it really does catch your eye!

Thanks again,

Shelley

Did any of you notice the music towards the end of video 2 sounded so much better and even different? Almost climatic? Maybe Im just dreaming or wishing but wow I could have sworn it did...... So the pepper ghost area is still curtained up or is that what was removed to show more hanging lights?

Thank you for the videos! They are a little dark (to be expected), but those falshing lights and triangles in part two are interesting. Those effects are defintely new additions.

Martin, you said you managed to brighten the vids; any chance you could post one of them somewhere so we could all see? Please?

Has anyone else been on the ride in the last couple days to check it out since the last few posts? It probably looks different daily at this point so just wondering if anyone else has seen anything.

Wow so no one has ridden sse this week? Shelley we need you back over there, afterall your the honory member of the 180Top Club. We need more reports!!

Came back from Epcot today (10/11). Below are some pics from SSE. Maybe they will provide some useful info (but probably not). I would really pay someone to snap a few pics of whats behind those curtains covering the old peppers ghost effect.

Right after the blue star field...into the new white star field.

Hitting the end of the white star field.

mhcueball2,

Thanks for the pics!!! Did you like the blue and white light section and the triangle effect at the end? I like the mix of blue and white stars...but I would really love for those curtains to come down revealing some super cool stuff!!!

It really is pretty ugly up there!!!! It seems like stuff was just kept up and painted black! I am reading the huge thread on the satellites in the 180 thread and noticing a trend...

Thanks again,
Shelley

Hm. Nothing reallly caught my eye in the first few. Still can't really see anything.

One thing though: what is that cage like support that goes over the ride vehicles in the "triangle city" pic? Is that just for the triangles, because that is a pretty hefty structure to just hang a few triangles from, and it wasn't there in the "94 version. Something else must be coming for that last part of the descent; otherwise, why that big structure?

Thanks for the pics, cueball!
