One of the things I remember from reports coming in during the refurb was that new structuring was going in....I think that was from one of the big Merf Flame fests.

All hell broke loose because me, Katie and Doug had that big SSE reopening meet planned and SSE went into extended rehab about a month before the meet was supposed to happen. :dazzle::dazzle::dazzle:
I thought we were going to flip out. Actually I did flip out. :lol: There is nothing like organizing a meet and then having the whole reason for the meet not be open. EGADS!

You don't remember that? It was over a year ago that we started planning this meet for when SSE was going to reopen and then one of us happened to look one day at the rehab schedule for EPCOT and it was showing SSE closed through the end of the year.
Mad dash, scramble, panic, heavy drinking, panic....:lol::lol::lol:
We rescheduled - and the meet was fantastic...but the original thread about the meet that I started (IIRC) had some choice mental breakdown moments.

Me and Katie are still having the meets, though. That was our first one. Our next one will be at EPCOT again in February.

Ohhhh, I'd love to get to one of these meets (I truly wish I could have been there for Epcot's 25th), but unfortunately, I'm only 17, and I don't think my parents would take too kindly to the idea of me heading to Orlando for the day to meet with a bunch of people they don't know and would probably consider a bunch of strangers. (For the record, I don't consider you a bunch of strangers, but my parents probably would. :shrug
And I don't think I'd be able to influence them enough to come with me. While they are Disney fans, they are in no way hardcore Disney fanatics like I am. I hope you understand, I'd love to go, but in all likelihood, I won't be able to. Give it another year maybe, and if you plan another one of these meets and I'm still in the state, I'll make every effort to get to it. :wave:

I'll be going there again this Saturday...so maybe I can take a look and grab a quick pic (unless there is one hiding around somewhere).
I did like the new effects (added star fields and more triangles). The triangle effect was nice...are they really projected or is it just light refraction? Have to take a closer look next time.
