In my opinion, the only beverage that should leave froth in your glass is either root beer or a milkshake.

Or a Guinness. :)

There will be pics, I promise.

Right now, we're just sitting out on the boat dock listening to the crickets, and soaking up the Disney vibe.

We actually got into Trader Sam's, but there were no two seats together. Four or five singles scattered, but not a single pair. No biggie, I just wanted to say I've been in there. Yowza, it's tiny.

Our current view:

It is certainly tiny. Glad you got in though. Worth it once.

I'm eating some. Just a bite. I want the whole loaf!

BIte'll do ya.

And now for the reason we all come here ....

My little plate - about 1/3 of it actually.
I ate every single bite. I feel sick, but it was worth it!

always worth it.

Potty break time.

The gas station did not look like it would meet my very modest bathroom standards, so we went to McD's next door ... and then, I swear this happened.

Here's the kicker - we're going to get home and I'm going to be up 5+ lbs ... and Hubby? He'll be the same. :banghead:

Would you get all confused up, if you came to North Carolina and saw a Publix? Nothing about this place resembles Florida, we don't have a single palm tree to be found.
I can't speak for @Lucky, but I guess we'll see how I feel about it when I get there on Thursday.

Publix is head and shoulders above Winn Dixie, but still doesn't hold a candle to Wegman's.

No Winn Dixie and no Wegmans that I have ever seen. Not that many Publix either, they are just starting to come into the area. Winn Dixie and Piggly Wiggly I have seen in South Carolina. But, those folks in So. Carolina are our poor, uneducated, cousins that we never mention in sophisticated company.

Yeah, but they beat Duke, so Hubby loves them! ;)

Have a good night. I am off to bed. Have to get up early to pack up this room.

Never been to either of the first two mentioned (guess those are all down South--none up here).

We had a Wegmans open up here a couple of years ago, and I despise the place. First, they had a 2-level parking garage (um . . . no, I don't want to park in a stupid garage just to get groceries and wheel them up to a 2nd level). Then, inside the store are a few confusing floor layouts--place was a nightmare. I also checked prices and they are "supposed" to be known for lower prices--nuh uh . . . more expensive than the other 3 supermarket chains in my area.

Hard to tell around here with all the whining that is going on. How our, stupid, bathroom law prevented them from being at home, gave SC an unfair advantage and blah, blah, blah. Not one single mention of how they might have tried playing a little better.

Don't have any of these stores...
We don't either at home. Ontario is dominated by the Loblaws chain and the A&P chain, and their respective subsidiaries.

People from Ontario, especially those close to the border, make trips into Buffalo specifically to go to Wegman's. Even with exchange, their prices are very good. And bonus, grocery items do not count as part of your duty exemption.

Last brekkie at the Hampton Inn and Suites:
No meat option for Hubby today, just biscuits and gravy. I have discovered that he doesn't actually like biscuits that much. (He likes them from Popeye's, so I was kind of surprised.)

Mine. Clearly.

The front desk has kindly obliged us with a 12:00 checkout. We'll probably be good to go by 11:30'ish, but 11:00 was going to be tight.

A couple of pics from yesterday.

There was a guy playing sax in the open area at the bottom of the Orange garage escalators. He was very, very good. More entertaining though we're the two kids getting down. The little girl was cute, but the little boy had moves I tell ya.

Kids don't need organized play time or structured exercise. Give them some fabulous music and some room to move, and they instinctively know what to do.

D-Living, in its current BatB setup. It's a tiny little store, meant to be totally switched over multiple times/year. I read people in the Disney Springs forum trashing it when it first opened in November.

It is what it is, and it serves that purpose perfectly.

A close up of the light. Cute.

Hubby pointed this out. I never gave it a moment's thought. Looking at the pics now, I wish I'd bought it. (Of course, I do.)
IMG_2570.JPG

I bought this for Ski, my little tea connoisseur. I knew he'd be torn between drinking it, and giving the box to Gen ... so I got him two.
