All of my existing stones are also blue and green.

One of my new pairs of FitFlops.

I now have 11 pairs! My first pair were worn for 10 months/year, ridden hard and put away wet, and still lasted six years! (Finally bit the dust at Epcot last year, if you'll recall.)

Given how long these last me, 11 pairs pretty much guarantees I'll be walking Heaven's streets in FitFlops.

It's a Donaldson dress today. He is expected to start in the field today, so it seemed fitting.

I know he'll be out with a back strain, but it would be nice to see Bautista in the stadium.

My hair just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Today is the first day with any humidity (Hubby is sweating like crazy!), so it ain't gonna be pretty later.

A couple of pics from yesterday.

There was a guy playing sax in the open area at the bottom of the Orange garage escalators. He was very, very good. More entertaining though we're the two kids getting down. The little girl was cute, but the little boy had moves I tell ya.

Kids don't need organized play time or structured exercise. Give them some fabulous music and some room to move, and they instinctively know what to do.

That boy looks like he's having a blast. I'm guessing when visiting Disney and spending a good part of the day either walking or standing (or in a stroller), it's nice to just be able to let loose!
D-Living, in its current BatB setup. It's a tiny little store, meant to be totally switched over multiple, multiple times/year. I read people in the Disney Springs forum trashing it when it first opened in November.

Regarding DS shopping ....

We went into multiple, multiple stores, and were impressed with many of them. We were willing, but not driven, to spend money.

I liked the prices at American Threads. I liked the clothes at Lucky Brand. Bought a dress. Guess where.

I bought two pairs of gaucho slacks for work from Uniqlo. I found the sizing all over the place. I fit into medium, small, and extra small. Say what?

I expected to love Stance. I did not. Tiny, cramped, didn't smell great, ambivalent staff, and way less product than I was expecting. When you're charging $20-$26 per pair of socks, you need to SELL them; not lean against a display, chatting amongst yourselves. I don't need to be fawned over. Greet me, acknowledge that I made the effort to visit you, ask if you can help me ... and then respond accordingly.

Crazy, energetic staff at Under Armour. Hubby bought a Dry-Fit shirt. The staff was so helpful, he felt happy to buy something.

I don't see some shops lasting - just too niche market. Others will do very well. I wish them all great success, because I think the entire DS experience and vibe is wonderful.

And hurry up Polite Pig. I really wanted some bbq this trip.

I can't speak for @Lucky, but I guess we'll see how I feel about it when I get there on Thursday.

Publix is head and shoulders above Winn Dixie, but still doesn't hold a candle to Wegman's.

I can't remember the last time I went to a Winn Dixie. The nearest Publix to me is in Mobile. I usually make a trip there every couple of months to get some things I can't find around here.

The Tiger's starting pitcher today, Daniel Norris, may be the most interesting guy in all of baseball.

From Wikipedia:

Norris's family has owned a bicycle shop in Johnson City, Tennessee, for more than 80 years. In the offseason, Norris lives by choice in a 1978 Volkswagen Westfalia van, nicknamed "gy". His unconventional lifestyle can be described as nonconformist and minimalist, and has raised eyebrows in MLB. Prior to the 2015 season, Tony LaCava, Toronto's assistant general manager, said of Norris "He takes care of himself as well as anybody we've got. He's in great shape. He competes on the mound. If that wasn't the case, maybe we'd be more worried about some of the other stuff. But right now, the van and all that is secondary. He has great values, and they're working for him."

Despite his $2 million signing bonus, Norris lives off just $800 a month. In an interview with ESPN he was asked why he chooses to continue to live so conservatively. He asked back, "Who am I to deserve that? What have I really done?” He has also said, "I'm actually more comfortable being kind of poor," as it helps him maintain a minimalist lifestyle and resist conformity.

On October 19, 2015, Norris announced through his Instagram account that he had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. He was diagnosed the previous April, and with a doctor's consent, he continued playing and delayed treatment until the end of the season. On October 29, Norris announced he was cancer free following a successful surgery to remove a malignant growth from his thyroid.

One of Norris' hobbies is photography. During the 2015 season, he acquired professional photographer Ben Moon's Canon EF 85mm portrait lens, and the two became friends. That offseason, the two went on a road trip together, from Norris' home state of Tennessee to Oregon, where Moon is based. Moon has turned footage from the trip into a short film, titled "Offseason."

Norris used to be a Blue Jay, but was part of the David Price trade. He went to the same high school in TN as my niece and nephew, a couple years ahead of them.
I knew this. Was just going to share this nugget, but you beat me. :) (Not the high school part, the Jays/Price bit.)

He throws hard. Almost every pitch is 94, 95 mph.

How about extending the trip 2 more days!
Heading to NC after the game for a few days, and then I have to be home for an MRI on Tuesday.

Plus, Beavis and Butt-head are home alone. I just hope the cleaning lady doesn't quit on Friday. I was smart though - I pre-paid her. :hilarious: She has to at least clean on Friday, right?!?

You were smart? You prepaid for a service you hadn't received and also feel that will make the person you paid an unhappy camper when they do show up? Wouldn't you have been better off to just wait. If they showed up you could add a bonus instead of relying on their honesty! Of course, that is Canada, so who knows, maybe it will work, eh.

Walk off home run in the ninth? Yes please.

We're eating dinner very early today (or lunch very late, if you prefer) here.

IMG_2670.JPG IMG_2673.JPG IMG_2672.JPG

Hubby ordered the Porker Combo w/ pulled pork, smoked sausage and beef brisket. Coleslaw and garlic mashed for his sides.
IMG_2675.JPG IMG_2676.JPG

I got the Waist Watcher, w/ quarter chicken white and beef brisket. Coleslaw and Caesar salad for my sides.
IMG_2677.JPG
IMG_2678.JPG

And then we did a whole lot of switching.

He took one forkful of his coleslaw and handed it over to me. (He knew it would be right up my alley, and boy was it!)

I handed over my brisket (way too lean for my liking) and took a tiny scoop of his pulled pork. He saved me the last bite of the chorizo, and I gave him my Caesar salad, chicken wing, all the skin, and then 75% of the chicken.

It's a very delicate dance this dining out; one that's taken us 30+ years to perfect.

We don't have any here but I've shopped at Publix many times when we visited relatives in Florida. The one near my cousin in Tampa has awesome pies.

Awesome pies??!!! I love pie!! And our grocery stores (up here) have finally caught on to the fact that not every customer can buy (or eat) a whole pie, (if they don't have a family at home, for example).--so now they also sell 1/2 pies . . . I can't resist!! :hungry:

We don't either at home. Ontario is dominated by the Loblaws chain and the A&P chain, and their respective subsidiaries.

People from Ontario, especially those close to the border, make trips into Buffalo specifically to go to Wegman's. Even with exchange, their prices are very good. And bonus, grocery items do not count as part of your duty exemption.

That's interesting. In that case, it's worth it for you folks to buy there. But seriously, in my area, they're overpriced compared to their competition.
