I totally agree...I BUSTED up laughing when I saw that. It was absolutely hilarious.

And the funnier part was 2 of my friends were sitting there watching the show with me and they didn't realize that Barney was Neil Patrick Harris until they did that. My best friend was sitting there going...he was pretty cute. I didn't know who he was. I just laughed.

It still angered me when they did the cliffhanger at the end! And for Barney! :fork:

hahahahahahhahahahahaha I don't watch the show often... but I just watched it now since Nibbs said it was good and because of the plot of the show...

FANTASTIC EPISODE!!!

no I don't sorry... it's just like built online; and then it shows you a generic ring picture... i wouldn't buy it online, build it and then try to find it in person...

by the way... question...

thoughts on complimentary diamonds???

there was a setting that was $500 more than a regular solitaire ring that had 2 .25 diamond rings...

thoughts?
What do you mean by complimentary? Is it not $500?

isn't that what they're called?? complimentary diamonds?

so like... i have the ring with the big rock in the middle; and the one diamond on each side of the big one...

so, the regular solitaire ring is 500... its $1000 for a ring setting with those two diamonds on each side... if that would be a nice tough i wouldn't mind spending an extra $500 for it...

i just didn't know if that was something a girl just getting engaged would want...

It was funny cuz DF didn't get it at first. I was cracking up and he was looking at me like I had 2 heads. I rewound it and then he got it. SO funny!

Maybe it's because I'm working on little sleep here, but I don't completely follow...

DH first picked out the main diamond. Then he picked the setting. He could have just picked a band with the prongs to insert the single diamond, making it a solitaire ring. But he chose a setting with the two stones on either side as you described and the stones along the three sides going down the band (not sure if that made sense). He paid more for the setting he chose as opposed to a solitaire ring.

Are you asking if you should get the one with the two diamonds on the side or a solitaire?

Oh wait! I think I may now understand what you're asking. Are you talking about the wedding band having the two diamonds which would "connect" into the engagement ring, giving it the appearance of one ring?

My 2 cents...when DF and I looked at rings we both initially really liked the 3-stoned settings too (main diamond in the center, 2 on the sides). But what we found that with the solitaire, it really gives alot more options when choosing the wedding band. My friend has a 3-stone and had a tough time finding a band that she liked. She didn't want a plain one, but so many of them just didn't look right w/ the setting.

ahahhaahhahaha hold on I'll get a picture of what i'm talking about
What about this...? (sorry, since it's on the other page, I'm not sure if you read it)

i'm kinda confused...

don't you just wear your wedding band like underneath your engagement ring; not underneath... but like... below it; closest to your knuckles... right?

so, a wedding band doesn't look as good with a three stone setting (i coulda used that description for kat... hahaha)???

Ah... no, it was my mistake for not reading close enough to get the "free" vs. "compliment" meaning.
Well, as I descibed, I have the stones around it, and I really like it. I didn't have any problem finding a band to match my engagement ring--it's quite ridiculous how much alike and how well they go together, really... I think if you can afford it, it would be a nice little extra. Though I know some women who are much more simple when it comes to rings and would prefer the single stone.

Correct, that is where you wear it.

I think it looks great all together. DH bought my rings from an independent jeweler, so I don't think there is a pic of my exact ring on the Internet, but I'll try to find one. If not, I'll take a pic once I get a hold of a camera and post it for you if you'd like--to see how the two rings go together.

Yes, you wear it under. But they have plain bands and then there's more fancy ones w/ other diamonds that "hug" the engagement ring. So basically, you could get that same look if you wanted w/ a solitaire and a band that had the 2 diamonds. Or they have plain ones or much fancier ones. It really is personal preference. I really liked the 3-stones that I tried on. They really 'popped' with sparkle. :)

I would imagine (wow too much to think about) that my girlfriend and I would just get simple plain wedding bands... it's what my brother and his wife got; I never paid close attention to her finger to try and see how it looks; but i like the look of a simple wedding band (well obviously for me I would... hahaha yeah I'm gonna get a wedding band for myself with diamonds... :brick:)

but... for allie too, i just like the look of the simple ones...

with a three stone setting with a plain wedding band work???

What are your thoughts on wedding bands that "hug" the engagement ring? That's something to think about as well, Joe.
