A theory: Dottie and the Deserted Island
So, two things that have left people wondering are Dottie and the deserted island commercial. My theory is that these two events are the same: they're plot devices meant to echo what's happening with Wanda.
Dottie
When Agnes says that Dottie is the key to the town and her roses bloom because they dare not to; well, that describes Wanda. She is the key and the people in town dare not disobey her.
When the radio 'wakes' Dottie, she blames Wanda for being the real ringleader and cause of their current troubles (and she's right). Theories that Dottie is really some outside cause (e.g., Mephisto), doesn't square with being awakened like that, which we see happening with other townspeople at times. Also, Hayward has ID'd Dottie as a member of the town. And Dottie has disappeared from episodes. So, things are stacking up that she's not (another) big bad.
However, when Dottie breaks her glass and cuts herself, and the blood is not black & white but red, she then reverts back to being under control and says that a housewife has to take out bloodstains herself.
And that's Wanda's situation, she has blood on her hands from the Lagos incident (and the Lagos paper towel commercial reminds Wanda she has a mess to clean up). Wanda is feeling some guilt for her manipulation (given her recent conversation with Pietro, surprised he's not scolding her for that manipulation). But, Wanda is all alone. She isn't confiding her grief and seeking help with it (until that conversation with Pietro). She's doing it all herself, like the good housewife that has to get bloodstains out herself.
The deserted island commercial
And we see a similar pattern in this commercial. Wanda is alone in her grief like the castaway. Along comes a promise of magic that will make the pain of grief go away, like the Yo-Magic cup will make hunger go away. But, in the end, Yo-Magic was useless.
And Wanda continues to try to ease the pain of her grief with magic, but her magical shenanigans in Westview aren't giving her that relief in the end. The ones closest to her, her family of Vision, the twins, and Pietro are not really under her control and will challenge her denial. And the puppeted townsfolk can't really help with grief either. She's dying inside.
