What's crazy is I'm a grown man wanting a giant "baby Yoda" plush right now.

Also, I was excited to get a notification on my phone about the Best-Buy exclusive Heavy-Gunner Mando from episode 3. He's been available for pre-order since yesterday.

My wallet is getting nervous because it knows I'm good at predicting more merch that I'm planning on getting.

I predict a Black Series - "The Child" figure we'll probably have to get at some randomly announced store like Target as an exclusive. Like the previous Carbonite Mandalorian exclusive.

Also, I can see Disney wanting to sell it as a plush, like when the original Furby came out around this time of the year and people were driving all over their states to try and find one.

Thankfully, the internet and pre-orders help, but when there are limited supply and more demand, it can get scary.

My wallet is also scared.
I want a Baby Yoda, too, but I'm going to wait until after Christmas if not longer. Kids are going to love that thing.

That's why it works. I can't always explain what makes me love star wars. But like the saying goes, I'll know it when I see it. And I see it with this show.

Interesting characters...
always some new setting or character to perk your interest...
enough common themes to bind things together in a universe...
classic good vs bad struggle...
a gritty sci-fi world with both ideals and practicality trying to co-exist..
Good ol cowboys vs indians fight sequences

'always something new' while still intertwining with the universe you know.

I think the prequels met alot of the same elements... they just mucked it up with horrible dialog, bad acting, and too much of a hard on for all digital production. Lucas was key at pushing new things forward.. but the prequels suffered a bit for it.

So something I didn't get... Mando already knows everyone wants the child.. he's been attacked since he captured it. Yet, he rolls into the hive of villainy to claim his reward rolling with the child in plain view??

The guild code would prevent a kill-steal in plain sight of other guild members.

But once he stole the child back, then all bets were off since he broke the guild code.

Who but the client and doctor knew what the bounty actually was? Even the Trandoshans were probably just going by the fob's tracker.
What I'm wondering more is if there were two clients as IG-11 seemed to have been hired by someone else as his orders were expressly for termination whereas Herzog's were only as a last resort.

Well.. the bounty driod already claimed the guild code allowed the bounty to be his since he made the claim... and if that were true, then clearly it would hold the same after the capture. Yet, mando was attacked before he even left the planet. So he knew at that point other people had trackers... and he was still being targeted.. code or not. He never argued he was guild when the pack of bounty hunters ambushed him...

I thought the same thing but then I realized that I would be even more upset that I had watched the whole season and then had to wait a year for the next one.

Plus our conversation would be very short lived. We will be talking about this show for at least 5 more weeks. I really like to "water bottle" experience.

Yes it is very necessary to have a good Star Wars story right now. Isn’t it nice having something that’s not so divisive? I think so.

That is what happens when you release a story that people have not invested decades of their lives following...lol.

Not following. The Mandalorian isn’t divisive because it’s not part of the main Skywalker saga?

It was a joke but essentially, yes. It is a standalone TV show more or less (with 3 episodes released) that hasn't had built up opinions of people over years and years, over 8 movies. As we know, Star Wars fans have very strong opinions of the Skywalker saga, so of course it is going to be more divisive than this new show.
