Eta: if you mean your point “the Witches' Road was super gay in its aesthetics and conception”

I don’t agree with it… but it’s your opinion.
It was also the intention of those behind the show:

There's a reason we're called Friends of Dorothy, you know.

I think its clear there is a lot of meaning behind everything in the show, that some may not pick up on, such as with Locke dressing up as Maleficent (and its not just a nod to the Disney character).

And I'll note again that the queer representation was very welcome, especially in light of the claims being voiced around six months ago that Disney had been cowed into retreating from such representation. This is proof (as if it were needed) that good storytelling and diversity are in no way mutually exclusive.
I think it’s a good example of representation done well, the characters didn't feel forced or intentionally in your face, they were just characters who happened to be gay.

I had seen the interviews with the cast talking about it being the “gayest” Marvel show and I didn’t think it felt “gay” at all, it was just a show that happened to have some gay characters.

It felt pretty gay to me (for the reasons I’ve outlined), but I think it’s telling that that didn’t prevent it from appealing to you too. When something is well done, it’s well done, and that’s what people respond to above all.

Yes… I saw that… it feltlike to me the interviewer was trying to provoke some controversy… probably for a viral moment… so the cast responded in a sarcastic way

The cast was responding to a Variety reporter who was looking for clicks. Reporters like the Variety one ask about queer representation under the guise of wanting "better representation' but really they know that such headlines are more likely to enrage the anti-gay trolls. I think the cast navigated it about as well as they could by responding with humor (ex. Aubrey Plaza saying somewhat jokingly "it better be! It's what I signed up for.")

So how does that work again exactly?

Are we back to immaculate conception via Rio magic? But that seems rather contradictory too... that she sucks at the task and her own creation gets tagged to die at birth? Agatha's defense cry out at the moment doesn't make much sense there either.

Or is there a secret IFV facility in Salem back then?

Seems like the writers are just playing the crowd at this point...

I know it’s beside the point, but Immaculate Conception doesn’t refer to pregnancy without fertilisation. Rather, it’s the belief that the Virgin Mary was free of Original Sin at the moment of her own conception.

Why is it assumed that he is "dead" dead when Rio/Death took him and that she "sucks" at the creation task and that it wasn't meant to happen as part of a larger purpose? All we know is she guides his spirit into a portal. So far we've only seen her take witches and guide them through a portal after they pass on, we don't know what happens after that. For all we know she guides the spirit of witches to a new body as a sort of rebirth, just as Billy did on his own (she is upset with that because he did it with a body that was meant to die and wasn't meant to be reborn, ie upsetting the balance).

Remember that Rio is literally meant to be the goddess of both death and rebirth, ie the natural order of things. That is what the green witch represents, and why she says that she isn't a green witch but THE green witch, ie as in the original green witch.

How much character, soul, and individualism is a still born child to have if taken immediately to this portal at birth?
Are we mixing in Dune rapid development now too?

What end game is there to create something in the mortal world who is born with nothing and is shown to be without magic.. if the plan is only to immediately snatch him from that mortal world before he even experiences it?

We don't know anything at this point.

But if we look at the comics for talking points, Nicholas Scratch is a larger figure in Marvel and leader of New Salem. The same New Salem where the Salem 7 come from. He also is a foe against Reed Richards, as he abducts Franklin Richards (Reed and Sue's son), so may play a role in the upcoming F4 movie.

What's your comic lore tell you how two women conceive a mortal child together?
Literally from magic. We don’t need to look at comics lore (though the same happens there) it’s literally in MCU canon already, Billy and Tommy in WandaVision are conceived from magic.

So why can’t Nicholas be too? That both Agatha and Rio perform a ritual to conceive Nicholas. Plus we already know that Mephisto is at least involved with Agatha somehow, so he could be part of this too.

Because Agatha already said she didn't?

And why call Rio his father? Instead of just having two moms?

Again we don't know the whole backstory story. Is it possible she was in a trance? Or did she cast a sigil over how he was conceived and doesn't remember, as is canon the person who casts the sigil doesn't remember. Or as I mentioned, Mephisto we know is involved with Agatha so maybe he helped in some way, with Rio being his agent.

Also I think you're taking the "father" part too seriously. As the articles states, none of it is even canon yet. It just describes where the writers heads were at when crafting the story. As was said, its a story for another day. Until its actually canon anything is possible.

ala

I mean they also said they were playing with Agatha counterpart being a male for the romantic involvement...

So it all sounds like whimsical 'hey, yeah, maybe!?!' floating out there to keep things churning.
Maybe I misunderstand what you mean when you say "playing the crowd", as that to me means they are trying to fool the crowd which I don't think is what is happening.

I don't even think she is saying "yeah, maybe", I think she is saying "Hey here is what we used to craft this story, its not all flushed out but here is the broad strokes we used for a backstory, and if Marvel decides to continue it that will be a story we'll tell another time if given the chance".
