That was probably the best-directed episode of the show so far. Was surprised how much I grew to care for Lilia in the episode as she wasn't very well developed as a character in the previous six episodes.

I imagine episode 8 will largely be a flashback explaining the backstory of Agatha and Rio and episode 9 will be the big showdown.

this last episode (death...) was def a stronger one.. really had me engaged. I liked how they tied up the loose bits they had been lying all around and the character's personal saga drew you in too. Much more than Alice's or Jen's.

I was kinda bored with the 'killing off the group...' thing so I was happy to see the two witches back in the fold near the start of the episode. Wish the Lilia character wasn't a sacrifice tho... the means to kill the seven felt anti-climatic vs their powers.

And why do they get to roam the road at will?

The whole Salem Seven thing feels like a waste. They didn’t really ever do anything. Agatha being afraid of them should be enough to frame them as scary but it never really felt like enough. Others always seemed more concerned than Agatha.

I’m also really over the suicide sacrifice as a trope, especially one that seems like it would send a harmful message.

Well the Salem Seven of the MCU, at least version of them, aren't the same from the comics so really they were just a nod reference and more a MacGuffin to get them on the Road anyways.

So really just like anything else in comics they can be brought back, as they aren't likely "dead" in the traditional sense given they are thousands of years old.

I’m a couple days late watching this weeks episode but this was my take also, what a performance. I am not familiar with this actor but a quick look at Google shows an extensive theatrical history and that showed in this episode.

Best episode so far.
In the Broadway world and among theater geeks, Patti Lupone is a legend. In television she's had a lot of prominent supporting roles and often collaborates with Ryan Murphy.

It actually stuck the landing! I’m giving this one an A+

So is Vision quest the third season? Getting the gang back together? The whole family sort of died.
I don't think VisionQuest is being worked on by Jac Schaeffer, and I think it would be a shame for her not to land this plane. There's been a Wiccan series reportedly in development and I think that would be the continuation of this story, hopefully with the same team.

I think VisionQuest will be more based on the Vision comic storyline by Tom King with his robot family. If anything, I could see Tommy showing up in VQ, and by end of the Wiccan show all that's left is finding Wanda?

Schaefer was originally going to do VisionQuest but she opted to focus on Agatha All Along instead. Terry Matalas (12 Monkeys and Picard season 2 and 3) will be the show runner for VisionQuest. I am excited to see what Matalas will do but part of me wishes that Schaefer could have finished Vision’s part of the story.

That is sort of what I’m feeling.

Except they used Tom King’s story as a basis (along with House of M) for WandaVision. So wouldn’t it be a bit reductive and repetitive at that point to use it again?

I think it makes sense to use VisionQuest similar to the original story from the 80s of White Vision trying to reconnect with his humanity, and the way to do that is by helping to find Tommy.

I mean, we'll certainly know soon enough! VisionQuest goes into production in February, and I doubt they'd be able to keep Joe Locke and Kathryn Hahn's involvement a secret. I just think it feels a little crowded with James Spader's return as Ultron. I feel like White Vision really needs to go on a journey and figure things out on his own before reuniting with family members. I do think Tommy showing up towards the end of the show is inevitable, and rumors have pointed towards them looking for another Teen actor for VQ.

totally agree, this was very well done.

My gut says yes, I don't buy the "visionquest" rumors. I believe this will tie in to a rumored solo Scarlett witch movie and some of the upcoming Avengers movies I believe. To get the whole crew back.

I also think Wicken and his eventually "found" brother will complete the work for the young Avengers at some point

I'm a little upset the road wasn't real and it means that Sharon kind of died for nothing. I'd say Lilia and Alice weren't really Billy's fault, but Sharon was totally his fault. Also I have to wonder, could Billy control the road? Like when they were flying was he subconsciously bringing them down? Did he create the road and then did it just operate with its own will or was he in control the whole time?
