I’ll believe it when I see it, no date has been announced. I’m not surprised though.

I’ve said my peace about this. I’m upset to lose all the iconic music. They shouldn’t have rethemed splash mountain however I will admit that artwork looks really nice.

I’m sure they will put out a great ride, it’s just a shame we had to lose such a iconic attraction. What stings even more...I never got to experience the WDW version only just now getting over my fear in Disneyland.

Do we actually buy this was in development before the coverage?

The artwork and concepts always look nice... until elements are left on the cutting room floor. Imagineers haven't been inside the space yet to do the assessment of what they would do yet.

I know a bunch of people here are going to be upset, but I'm okay with this. I think Princess and Frog is a great IP.

I think it fits really well as an extension of DL's New Orleans Square, but I'm not sure it works as well given the surrounding environment at MK.

Bummer, trip last week was cancelled and we moved it to next summer. Now I'm hoping that Splash Mountain won't be gone forever before next summer!

Splash Mountain is such an iconic and well-done ride, so a bit disappointed money is being spent on an overhaul rather than elsewhere.

So in a time when Disney is cutting budgets left and right they find money to start a new retheme?

It shows that they view this as a high priority in the current global social climate. Disney does not want to get cancelled.

100% in favor of this. Perfect for Disneyland. I don't like the theme for Frontierland, but hopefully they'll make it work.

I'm guessing work will start with the next annual closure of the ride for winter maintenance, and possibly re-open around Mardi Gras 2022. Total guess.
