Splash Mountain falling apart (literally?)

Just rode it. No water effects in laughing place. 2 chickens in finale not working.
That's not what the lead story on this said! Unless it stopped working all of a sudden.

Is it working or not? If not, maybe it was temporarily down. If so, check back and let us know if it works again!

Ugh that certainly didn't last very long at all... Question is whether this will be permanent.

And also whether it's due to a glitch/problem, or whether they actually deliberately turned these effects off to save money or whatever like they've been doing with rides lately.

Wait for more reports in to find out if it was a momentary lock-up and reset, or if it needs more attention tonight. Rest assured, if things break over the next few days, they will be addressed at night. The team is still on-site to make fixes as needed. Don't panic. Yet.

Things are going to stop working over the next few weeks for various reasons. All normal when you reopen. As long as they're addressed, that's all we need to worry about.

So what happens when something breaks in lets say 3 months time? Hmm strange they wouldn't have a team on site constantly though...

I read them. I'm ignoring them.
The video was 1,000,000% better than the terrible broken mess of a ride I rode in 2011.
There's no doubt about that. The video shows a Splash that is basically in perfect condition.

The missing show elements mentioned above are not a problem in the video, they broke after it was taken apparently. It would be a damn shame if they weren't corrected. I'm willing to give them a day or so before making and assumptions though, could be a glitch or something. Entirely possible that it's only a minor thing and will be quickly fixed. We shall see.

Good to hear it has already been corrected and they're still working on things and doing testing, thanks for the info! We'll see how it holds up over the months after those work crews are gone.

The best thing for me was seeing Br'er Bear swinging in the trap properly, full range of motion! Amazing... just... *tear*
Yep, and the Brer Bear figure with the hive on his nose is working too! Everything looks fantastic!

Refurb/WDI teams are separate budget from day to day operations. There's budget to have people on site to fix for a bit after reopening as a matter of course, and to assist/train the techs on any new equipment or parts. Once the scheduled time is over, then it's back to the regular maint. techs to fix things on their normal schedules. Technically, as soon as the ride is turned back over to Ops, it falls back to R&S Maint to perform repairs, but with the WDI/Refurb team still on site, things will be addressed. It's a few weeks in when the refurb is officially and completely over and it's totally in the hands of the park that we will see how they intend to take care of the ride. That's when you should be afraid...very afraid...but hopefully not.
