If it is true, this is probably the most disappointed I have ever been with disney. World showcase should be treated with much more respect than that.
Absolutely disappointed if this proves to be true. However, I cannot say I'd be surprised. Disney's recent decisions have not impressed me or shown much care for their product/legacy - only a concern for short-term profits.

Well, we all know that if this is true, the masses will fall head over heels in love with it because it's Frozen. It doesn't matter to most that Noway would lose its identity to a popular movie. A good business move? Absolutely. A friend of keeping a consistent theme among the countries? Nope.

Kevin eye's article at mice age today was so terrible and Yee seems like he has some of the worst taste in the world. Not only was hyperspace hoopla bad for the brand it also made most star wars fans cringe. He also jumps to a lot of conclusions saying that it was Disney alone who conceived the hoopla in the first place. Knowing George Lucas I would not be surprised if it was his idea or if he was a big supporter of it. Obviously when your licensing characters the holder of the license has to sign off on everything and obviously Lucasfilm under Lucas was fine with it. Disney wants to clean up the Star Wars brand and go in a better, more serious direction, which is what most customers want.

Mark Renfrow works for Disney and was show director for that.

Did Lucas have to sign off on things? Sure, but Disney was responsible for the production, writing etc.

I don't agree at all with most of your statements. SW doesn't need to be taken so seriously. I too had a complete repulsion to the idea of the SW characters dancing around but it ended up being my very favorite thing about SWW. I know a lot of other SW fans that feel the same way. We won't even be going this year because it's gone. SWW is way too much of a pain for way too little reward now.

Lucas certainly didn't conceive of it. It started organically as a fun ending of the day at Jedi Training. It started with just Vader and the Stormtroopers (and I wouldn't be surprised to hear that it was actually the cast member that was playing Vader who came up with it – probably something that they were doing backstage for fun that grew into a full dance). I don't believe it actually became the Hoopla until the third or fourth year.

And why? Because people really, really enjoyed it. It became too large for the Jedi stage and, in the end, it was even too crowded for the new large stage in front of the hat as well. If the fans weren't in favor of it (as you say) then why was there such an enormous demand for it?

Yes, Kennedy most likely is the one who pulled the plug. I can understand her reasoning but I don't agree with it and I think it's entirely too myopic of a viewpoint. There's a difference between having fun with the characters and "making fun" of the characters. The Hoopla actually did a lot to promote the characters.

I seriously doubt she ever even saw it live.

Check out the Episode VII
set in Abu Dhabi as well as a new creature!

I saw a still of that this morning and I was giddy!

I Flipped when I saw that was not a cgi character!! It looks so amazing!!!

Peter jackson can take note of that video and be ashamed of himself for his decisions in the hobbit films!

Problems of people with too much money that I will, unfortunately, never understand.

Honey, money don't fix crazy - you probably wouldn't have these kinds of problems if you had that kind of money, because you're not nuts (at least you don't appear to be!). Reading that article gave me a headache. Honestly, it's Sharon's fault for setting up her trust this way - I don't think this could pan out any other way if the trustees, whoever they happen to be at that moment, every deny a payment for any reason. Lawsuits follow, inevitably.

(Thank you, I fancy myself not a crazy most times ;) ) you're absolutely right, the way she had the trust set up...it was almost set up for this nonsense to happen. I struggled through that article. It was still a good read, regardless. I hope those involved with mental illnesses are under proper doctors care and supervision and are actively being helped with their issues. Money or not, no one should have to suffer with the likes of those mentioned in the article.

So ... that 7 Dwarves commercial. Between that and Tonight Show tickets, I'm surprised Twitter didn't break in Orlando today.
I've come to my senses and un followed 90% of anyone on my feed that only talks about disney world. It's too infuriating and they all scoff at anyone that isn't one of their clique.

The only ones left, have interesting travels and common interests to me besides theme parks.
