I've no doubt a professional editor could have cut some things here and there and made it bit shorter (but not necessarily better) and perhaps have improved the rhythm and timing, but again, I had no sense from fellow audience members at the showing I attended that the length, rhythm, or timing was a problem. My sense looking over the audience from the back row was that no one watching was bored.

I'm genuinely perplexed that it is performing so poorly. How can around 300 people of various ages, ethnicities, and genders (well, just two of those) watch a 2.5 hour movie, laugh and cheer in the right places, applaud when it was over, and leave smiling and animatedly discussing the movie when the same movie is considered by so many to be dismal? Did I just coincidentally end up in a showing with a large number of people with similarly bad taste in movies?

So, Lone Ranger supposedly had a bad ad campaign (it did, but not my point here) that apparently made many folks who had actually seen the PotC films wrongly believe they were seeing the same thing (I must have missed all the action at sea). Well, I never saw one Transformers film, yet Pacific Rim looks totally like one to me. See how that goes? ... Serious question: someone has taken 51 Disney Cruises since 1998, mentally ill? Another serious question: someone has spent 600 nights at DVC resorts since 1997, mentally ill? Yes, they both have too much money, that wasn't the question. ... What has Tom Staggs done to even remotely suggest he should be considered for the top dog spot? ... So, yes, I read Dusty's column on Miceage. Yes, I have thoughts ... Think I'll share them in another post.

So, yes, there may well be announcements at D23 (or prior) depending on when the reach a decision and how far out they are willing to open the coffers for. ... What I miss most from Al are the WDW cheapshots, which are always true. ... Oh, so attendance isn't falling off in Anaheim. I guess it's just the better summer weather on the left coast.

It was too hot it was like I was back in Florida it was gross.

No comparison, I don't think I've ever eaten at a Whataburger in Pensacola, I was just commenting that it's still going strong in Tallahassee too. We rarely leave Santa Rosa Island while in Pensacola. Man it's been too long since we've been there (3ish years :()

(and mentally ill? No. Just too much money on their hands, which I would be willing to help them with, since I'm lacking in that department.)

A Disney Cruise? Yes, mentally ill. Back in the early 80's I was on the Home Lines' Atlantic from NY to Bermuda and on one of the formal nights the captain presented a woman at the table next to us a diamond necklace for sailing on her one hundredth cruise with the line. My father leaned over to me and remarked that the necklace just might be worth more than our house. She was not mentally ill however, because anyone that was fortunate enough to sail on Home Lines knows they're the standard all cruise lines should be judged.

Oh wow, I just realized I forgot to throw White Castle into the mix for great burgers! i know I know, but I do love them and have not had one in a few years. We have the cheap imitation Krystal in Florida.

Finally had Red Robin a couple of months ago - quite tasty.

Now I will try to catch up . . . again!

The Lone Ranger observations:
-Ferris wheel in San Fransico? Never knew they had one.
-Who was the little kid that Tonto was telling the Lone Ranger tale to in that muesuem?
-Was that dead black bird a crow? Raven? I am now afraid of rabbits. Many dumb/stupid animals in this film.
-Were those peanuts or bird seeds Tonto would crumble up?
-I liked Armie Hammer's acting in this film better than Depp's (as a matter of fact, if Disney were ever to reinvigorate the Davy Crockett series, he deserves to play the lead man himself).
-Butch Cavendish was a good villian, however he didn't really strike much fear into me (so good, not great).
-Should Helena Bonham Carter even been in this film due to her minor screentime role
-Loved the action sequences (esp. the explosions)
-I didn't find this film too violent, offensive to N.A.'s, nor scary
-My favorite things about this film were the settings and the music
-Justice doesn't exist
-I love silver and railroads/trains
I'd grade this film a B+ and here's to hope that the International markets come out in droves to see this film. This film definitely had potential.

Unforgettable was from last season (2011-2012), and Carrie was a redhead, but yes, she remembered everything that she has ever experienced.

Although the way the article is written about D23, they don't seem totally sure about announcement or no-announcements. They wouldn't leave themselves so many outs in case they end up being wrong as @WDW1974 keeps suggesting.

Also I enjoy how they continually pooh-pooh WDW. Even when it is to say it IS getting something, it is downplayed.

Really great points, and a bit worrying to think about for Sea World. And I'm one of those folks who don't drink AB products any more. I used to have a Season Pass at BGW in the 1990's and enjoyed it, even went to Budweiser Beer School at the brewery via the monorail once. Never again.

I'm buying solely locally brewed beers now, as SoCal has a lot of great local and small breweries. But I used to be a Michelob man. Not any more, and InBev and their corporate masters in Brussels can sell Busch Gardens to the North Koreans for all I care.
