That MiceAge article seems a little too CA focused for it not to be biased by the MiceAge CA focus. Hopefully WDW will get more love than they are implying.
editing is not about cutting scenes (mostly) but giving them a rythm, the right timing. I haven't seen the movie (and not planning to), but in Gore Verbinski's PotC movies I think despite the convulted plot I think a lot could have been easily cut and you would end up with a better, tighter movie.
Everything is bad for you. Life is incredibly fatal. ... I'll enjoy soda and juice and wine and tequila and vodka and coffee and etc etc.
I'll still wind up dead as will the fanbois who apparently aren't just afraid of coffee, booze and gals, but sodie pop too. I'm telling ya this book writes itself. I can just pull an Eddie Sotto and cull my posts and the responses from years of being online ...
Spirited Miceage Musings: Dusty needs to stop aping Al's writing style. While it may seem like the sincerest form of flattery, and it's obvious that Dusty and Co want to keep Al's Spirit going with his illness, it just feels wrong. Some people have strong writing voices and others don't. You try and borrow someone's style and it doesn't work. ...So Bob brought the BoD down to Anaheim and put them on public display. What does that mean? Well, that NGE's cost and overruns have them watching every million he wants to spend in P&R. And that the photo ops in full view of the public are designed to pressure them into agreeing to whatever he wants. Funny, how they were hidden away in 2011 in Florida when investors/potential buyers were around too. But that was all a sham started by Spirits with agendas, doncha know? ... From an info standpoint, he nailed things like the answer as to why the D23 plans were suddenly changed. Iger hasn't gotten the BoDs full sign off on the scope of spending for either the DLR plans or the STudios Makeover plans and he doesn't want plans announced that fall through or change drastically down the road. That makes sense, but considering they have to make decisions on spending for 2014 soon, things might change on that front. ... So, yes, there may well be announcements at D23 (or prior) depending on when the reach a decision and how far out they are willing to open the coffers for. ... What I miss most from Al are the WDW cheapshots, which are always true. ... Oh, so attendance isn't falling off in Anaheim. I guess it's just the better summer weather on the left coast.
Why is Tallahassee's Whataburger better than Pensacola's Whataburger?
What has Tom Staggs done to even remotely suggest he should be considered for the top dog spot? ... So, yes, I read Dusty's column on Miceage. Yes, I have thoughts ... Think I'll share them in another post.
Serious question: someone has taken 51 Disney Cruises since 1998, mentally ill?

Add me to that list.
The Lone Ranger observations:
-Ferris wheel in San Fransico? Never knew they had one.
Wow! That was from a few years ago! I didn't watch it but if I remember correctly it was about that blonde chick that had that weird "disorder" (not sure i you would really call it that) where se remembered every single detail about everything as she helped solve crimes?
New Miceage article is up this morning. Relatively positive - GAC is getting fixed, Monsters is getting rushed, makeover of the classic Fantasyland Dark Rides is still in the pipe and the Starwars bike coaster will be included in a tomorrow land makeover.
Although the way the article is written about D23, they don't seem totally sure about announcement or no-announcements. They wouldn't leave themselves so many outs in case they end up being wrong as @WDW1974 keeps suggesting.
Also I enjoy how they continually pooh-pooh WDW. Even when it is to say it IS getting something, it is downplayed.
Who would by them? There is only a few companies that could do it. Would Cedar Fair buy them? God forbid Six Flags. I still can't believe all this that has happened to these parks all thanks to $#@%ing InBev's takeover. There are people I know who still refuse to ever drink any AB Beers ever again because of them. But you know I am sure there sales haven't been hurt since most people in the US don't give a crap where there stuff comes from.
All I know is whoever buys them better not ruin those parks esp BGW. I would hate for these parks to lose their world class status(and I bet the tourist industry in Tampa and Williamsburg wouldn't be happy) if they are sold to the wrong company.
The Blackstone Group is the majority shareholder in SEAS.Really great points, and a bit worrying to think about for Sea World. And I'm one of those folks who don't drink AB products any more. I used to have a Season Pass at BGW in the 1990's and enjoyed it, even went to Budweiser Beer School at the brewery via the monorail once. Never again.
I'm buying solely locally brewed beers now, as SoCal has a lot of great local and small breweries. But I used to be a Michelob man. Not any more, and InBev and their corporate masters in Brussels can sell Busch Gardens to the North Koreans for all I care.
