I have seen that and I'm not terribly optimistic. Smallville was fun for a while, but never very good. I have heard Arrow is basically Smallville mixed with Nolan's Batman.

We don't have the CW as part of our satellite package (simply amazing considering how many channels we do have). I would add it if a WW show gets on the air. Although the premise sounds less than inspiring. My understanding is it would take place before Diana becomes WW.

I would have thought you would get the CW, considering isn't it a basic channel (along with ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and is it PBS, ION and MyNetworkTV? I don't know, I'm not from the US), but I think that I have read that it may not be available everywhere, for some reason.

I watched Smallville (for some reason, for me, the even numbered seasons 4, 6, 8, 10 were better than the odd numbered seasons 5, 7, 9 - I watched 1-3 in reruns, so I don't know which episodes were from which season).

I watch Arrow as well, and it has gotten better as the season went on, and I would probably say that it is better than Smallville was, but there are still some parts of it that just seem silly.

Don't forget Flash too, and the possibility of Green Lantern already getting a reboot because the recent movie tanked so hard. Amazing to think that out of all of DCs characters it's Green Arrow thats seen recent success outside of Batman, if only on TV (and I know not everybody loves it, but it got renewed for a second season). Would they put Stephen Amell in a JLA movie?

I could see Flash and Green Lantern carrying their own movie. I could even see Aquaman and Martian Manhunter doing so eventually. But first you have to ease audiences in with Superman, Batman and yes Wonder Woman.

DC has lots of great characters going to waste. They just need to roll the dice and actually execute this time. (That means keeping Geoff Johns off the set.)

Maybe doing the JLA movie first and spinning out from there will work. But they are putting an awful lot of eggs in one basket if they do that. They can't go belly up like they did with GL. (And seriously, don't listen to a word Geoff Johns says. I don't care that he used to intern for Richard Donner.)

Aparently, the recent deal with Target is intended to familiarize people with the DC characters so they will be able to go into the JLA movie without the benefit of having been introduced to the characters in solo movies. Not sure how that's supposed to work. But I guess most people know all they need to know about the main characters. I'm a little sick of origin stories anyway.

There's alot of Nolan Batman to be sure, but with two seperate storylines running along side each other the show offers enough material to make it seem more original. It does get better as it goes along, but it can be silly (but if it's John Barrowman acting silly than it's just fun). I've heard from others comparing the two that people like it better than Smallville.

We used to get it. But at some point our CW affiliate dropped the CW programming. Now I have to pay extra for it. I could add it for $3/month. But I don't watch America's Next Top Model (anymore) or Vampire Diaries. So I haven't done so yet. Most of the CW shows end up on Netflix, so I'll probably catch up with Arrow there.

If there was a halfway decent WW show I could watch with my kids, I'd plunk down the $3/month.

Smallville was pretty horrible. I watched it on and off as a guilty pleasure. But it was usually more guilty than pleasurable. I liked it best when it didn't take itself seriously. Also, Erica Durance is awesome. I would seriously have watched a Lois Lane spin-off show. Especially if Tom Welling wasn't on it.

I'm definitely interested. Like I said, I'm hoping it shows up on Netflix later this year.

Does Jiko have surf and turf?

No, it does not. But it is a wonderful restaurant with a very interesting menu. I just had a wonderful meal there on my last trip (even though I have to admit that being treated by a very dear person made it even more magical).

From everything I have heard, the surf and turf at Narcoosee's is not that good as the lobster is not the best grade (I don't eat lobster, so it really is only what I have read over the years on discussion boards). I would say you should make up your mind if it is one particular dish you want or whether you want a wonderful meal in the Disney atmosphere. If it is the dish, I would suggest to maybe find a non-Disney restaurant in Orlando for it. Or even wait until you are back home and then splurge as a late celebration. If it is the nice meal at Disney, I would say go ahead and use your two credits for it. It is not the best use for them, but there are some truly wonderful signature restaurants at Disney. I personally love Jiko and the Flying Fish (and the later offers a lot of fish choices, too. My sister loves their crab cakes for example).

I had the surf and turf at Narc a year and a half ago and was very pleased. Whether its worth two points to you on the dining plan is subjective, but basically if what you would order is priced at the cost of two regular table service meals elsewhere than you should at least break even. Not worth debating if the price of the meal is a "value" or not, as the price is what it is. My suggestion...book your reservation for an hour before Wishes and take advantage of the view. They also will lower the lights and play the music in the restaurant. No biggie if you don't get a window seat, there is a wrap around deck outside the restaurant and it is common practice to leave the table during the show to go outside and watch.

Bits from Entertainment Weekly and IGN. I haven't followed the roll-outs remotely closely.

I just got my X-Box 360 this past X-Mas (thanks, Santa/me). I'll probably wait at least a year before committing to the next generation console. Back in the day, I always seemed to adopt the second most popular system. I had a Sega Genesis instead of a Super Nintendo. Thought I learned my lesson so I got a Nintendo 64 instead of a Playstation. (Goldeneye was awesome, so it was worth it.) Then I got an X-box over Playstation 2 (no complaints there either).

If Xbox One is more than $400, count me out. Looks like I'll own my first ever Playstation. Once they drop the price that is.

i have had playstation systems forever but i will be going for xbox for forza alone.....most solid titles are cross platform now...with a FEW exceptions.

Nah, that's not worthy ... but I am somewhat surprised no one mentioned the piece by Brook Barnes in the NY Times this week that sorta, kinda, maybe took shots at UNI-Hollywood for offering VIP experiences and sorta mentioned Disney as a company that didn't do that.

I absolutely expected to see that article posted in this very thread. I had forgotten all about it until you mentioned it.

It's unlikely that an exclusive title will sway my opinion one way or another. Although I did but my original X-Box largely for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer exclusive. Don't judge me. Disneyland Kinnect had a hand in my buying the XBox 360. With a $100 price difference, I don't see any one game having an impact on my decision.

I tried watching it, but I had the same problem as I have with superman. He put his hood on and became slightly more frowny and all of a sudden his best friends couldn't tell it was Oliver! It annoyed me so much, I had gave up after the Christmas break.

To be fair he altered his voice, worked mainly in the dark and put on green makeup too.

Yeah, that was one of the "silly" aspects of the show.

XBox One has made me a Playstation gamer for the first time in my life. This roll out is the very definition of arrogance and greed. $100 more, no used games or rentals, you must be an online subscriber, your kinect will ALWAYS be on, watching, for some odd reason. The XBox gamer has no control now. Just a total disrespect to their loyal (which I was one) customers. Sony was doing everything wrong not too long ago, and now because of pure arrogance Microsoft opened the door to their competition and the competiton is taking full advantage. Reminds me of a couple theme parks I know...

Since we seem to be talking about Video Games and Man of Steel right now, I just checked and Man of Steel is 56 on Metacritic. I imagine the DC fanboy reactions should be fun :)

Oh, and I got a Wii U when I preordered my PS4. Haven't hooked it up yet but I'll probably do it tonight.

5Ks? No, not serious.

Half and Full Marathons? You betcha! A lot of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears go into training for either.

I ran my first 10k in March. I trained daily for it. Ran in the cold, in the rain, and through knee pain. I didn't overestimate my abilities and ran in what I thought was the proper group for a first timer and based on my training. There were people just like spirit described strolling along the route, blocking the way, and frankly, making it very dangerous. I spent more time dodging people than running forward...certainly didn't train for all that lateral movement.

I'm a competitive person, so I take such things seriously. Want a finisher medal? Do the 5k, or start in the last corral. It's not fair to people who take races seriously.

Amen! I know this is old (hey, I've been on vacation!...and not at WDW!), but I needed to respond. I did the Princess Half in February, and there were many, many people who should have never been doing that race. To quote my own mini-review, many people seemed to have put more time in creating their costume than actually training. To me this is just a recipe for disaster. This was my second half marathon so I knew my abilities and was honest which put in the third to the last stall. It was hard to keep any kind of pace because people wouldn't use basic race etiquette and there were large groups walking side-by-side blocking the road. It was very frustrating. It was obvious that many people lied about their abilities to get in a better stall which slowed down a lot of the faster runners. I had friends of some of the higher stalls who were really ticked.

I am not the fastest runner, but I trained really hard for this race. In the last few years, I have lost 110 pounds so this trip and race was a gift to reward myself for my hard work. I certainly don't begrudge anyone regardless of size, shape or age doing this race because I know I couldn't have done it a few years ago myself, BUT when someone enters a race, they need to be respectful of other racers. If you want to go take pictures with Mickey and stroll at a leisurely pace, then fine, but get out of the way when doing it.

I was also frustrated because many people who quit or were picked up were bragging because they still got their medals. I heard a lot of people complaining about that. That should never be allowed (not to mention that anyone with any self-respect should turn the medal down).

Finally, I also wanted to drop-kick the idiot who decided that proposing in front of the Castle of the middle of the race was a great idea - never noticing that he created a huge bottleneck and made a lot of us lose time. I think my exact words to him when I passed were, "Dude, screw your proposal - I'm in the middle of a race!" which was not exactly lady-like, but it did elicit a lot of cheers from the women around me.
