Any truth to MB and FP+ being official for all resorts Nov 1. Basically every single resort in October will be mb enabled. Lots of positive reviews of it on this site...

On second thought, where is that spirit with his news???

Well, yesterday I was not able to log in at any Disney website. It kept telling me that my username and password did not match. I also was not able to have my username sent to me nor was I able to reset my password. I was worried about that as I was afraid that someone had hacked my account. Spent 30 minutes on the phone with the technical helpline with a very nice and friendly guy who started to work on the issues that were on my account and then sent me a reset the password link which I tried - while still on the phone - and then once again the system told me that I don't exist. He did some more work and then came back to tell me that there is a known issue with the website and asked me to just give them 24 hours and then try again. Today it is back working with my old username and password. Does not sound like the website is very reliable. And I am just glad for my great international calling plan, so the 30 minute transatlantic phone call did not break the bank.

Oh - and somehow Disney is not able to remember that I live in Germany - the keep transplanting me to Georgia (the country not the state!) where I most definitely don't want to live. I have changed that a million times and they even regularly mail stuff to me in Germany. But when I go to my profile, it is Georgia again.

I even liked a lot about the new website and never have been over critical about Disney's website efforts. But when you suddenly don't have access to your account anymore, especially if that account is also the access to your DVC points, you do feel very vulnerable and do lose a lot of trust.

Don't you know... those positive reviews can't be trusted... they've been bought...

I don't think that the only criticism of MM+ is that people won't like it. Why should it not have positive reviews. That does not change anything for those who consider the tracking abilities an invasion of privacy or the expense incurred outrageous with regard to the results gained. You might compare it to people being comped a night at the GF - of course most who get to stay there for free would think it is a fabulous hotel. But would they think the same if they had paid the full room rate?

Also, a lot of the reasons why people were sceptical about MM+'s effects on the parks are related to the number of people using the FP+ system. If only a small percentage has access to pre-booked FP+, availability for the rest certainly will be much higher. Once 100% use the system, the result might be very different. So, in a way I do say that the positive reviews can't be trusted. Not because they have been bought, but because they review something that is quite different from the end product.

The same thing happened to me last week now that you mention it!

Bingo!

I'm taking a wait and see approach to MM/FP+. But that cuts both ways. I'm not about to take early positive reviews at face value considering the final experience will very likely differ from what people are currently experiencing.

I get that.. but the point wasn't that these experiences reported here were not 'complete evaluations of the system as a whole' - but in fact they were skewed because it was inferred they got gift cards for their troubles, etc. Flat out the real person experiences were thrown out as payoffs.

True.. but that's only FP+. Only a PORTION of the system. What about the rest of the system? Are we to throw the baby out with the bath water?

Experiences with the band themselves won't change..
Experiences with the App are 'real world' now...
Experiences with the workflows are 'real world' now...
Experiences with wifi signal is pretty close to real world now... wifi is being used by everyone, not just FP+ testers...
Experiences with tap to pay are real world now...
Experiences with the hotel integration are real world now...

Certainly FP+ isn't fully rolled out.. but why is it every complaint about MM+ always uses 1 piece to throw the whole system out? Is it not possible to take things piece by piece when having an opinion?

That sucks...

Curious next time if you try it if it works on any other Disney/Go websites.

I despise Disney's federated login system.. it's a disaster in so many places.

I wonder if the feelings would be different if you were only able to schedule your fastpass+ rides for your visit maybe a week ahead, or a day ahead, or on check-in day? I just am not a fan of having to schedule my entire vacation six months in advance. I would love to see them change dining reservations (MAYBE leaving the dinner shows and character dining at 6 mos.) to a week out or less.

I don't have a dog in this fight. I'll wait and see how it plays out for good or bad. Getting positive feedback at this stage of the game is encouraging. But I won't form an opinion one way or another until I experience it first hand in its final form.

I don't personally have an agenda.

Can someone point me to some of these positive reviews? I have seen a couple of stories dropped here and there. Most of the people I have seen who experienced FP+ were able to get the three pre-scheduled experiences and regular FPs on the side. Since that is not going to be an option when FP+ goes live, I throw those accounts automatically. But I would be interested in reading an account from someone who experienced something closer to the final product.

A lot of people in th trip reports and MB sections of this site all have pretty positive reviews, with only a few double dipping in the FP...
