Well, as far as being a "fan" of Spawn...this is the extent of it...

I love the artwork (have briefly glanced through some of the comics). I collect the McFarlane Figures (actually, I have so many that I can't even put them on display anymore...no room...(and 50% are still packaged) And...I've seen the movie...so...as you can tell, I'm not a fan :) in the aspect of the STORY

Gez where have you been?! A fellow collector! :D

Would you consider selling any of your figs? I'm also short on room but I open all my figs so I usually find someplace to stand them. I'm waiting on the Series 22 figs to show up around here. They keep getting delayed. :(

I thought about that too, because of the way it ended for Harry. They'll either have him as the original (GG 2) or as Hobgoblin.

On a related note, I just read a bit at Newsarama bout the new encyclopedia Marvel is planning to launch. Boy, am I disappointed... I don't own a Marvel Handbook and I always wanted one. The closest thing I have to it is the character book from that old Marvel RPG. So I was anxious to this new book. Well, apparently, it's aimed for the people who saw the movies and wanna know more about the characters. In a nutshell, it won't have every single and obscure character, and it won't go into details, like the Clone Saga on Spidey's entry or the marriage to Jean Grey's clone Madelyne Pryor on Cyke's entry.

Talk about a HUGE let down. :brick:

Yeah, she was pregnant during the Clone Saga. They even thought the baby could have some problems and they didn't know if it was due to Pete's irradiated blood or the fact that he could be the clone. Lil' May eventually was born, but Norman took her away and made it look like she died after birth. The last we saw of her, she was saved from the Scriers by Kane, and both of them have disappeared.
Of course, there's Spider-Girl, the alternate reality May Parker, and it's a pretty good read.

Did I answer it, or is there something else you'd like to know? :animwink:

That's why I was waiting to answer, the clone story is complicated enough, Freak doesn't know about that either. He's in training to learn Spidey's past.

There's even an evil clone of Parker called Kain. No pic of him right now. The whole story completly confused everyone. In some comics you thought you knew who the real Parker was, in others it'd change. The supposed clone eventually became the scarlet spider and had some adventures of his own. The best part of this saga was the cool spider suit that I wish they had kept longer. Here it is...

Hard to say who wore what!?! I believe the scarlet spider was going to let the other Parker leave in peace with MJ, but it didn't work out. I have to think back on a lot of this, it's been a while.

May I have your attention please...

Will the real Peter Parker please stand up!

Green Goblin 2 - 4, Hobgoblin 1 & 2, Demogoblin

MKCustodial or anyone else - If you can add to or straighten out any info provided please do so, as I said it's been a while and I have to remember back. With that being said...

Here's the first Installment of Villian History.

I thought the best place to start would be at Green Goblin 2 since he is very likely to appear in a Spidey Movie soon. Here's the comic background which is also going to be condensed for Movie purposes and new ideas.

Harry Osborne eventually comes across all the Green Goblin Technology that his Dad used. To have revenge on Spidey he uses the suit and begins to chase down Spider-man. Spider-man knows all the old tricks of the suit by now, so Harry comes up with a new and improved costume -- the Hobgoblin. New color scheme and some new weapons are introduced like Razor Batarang type weapons.

Intro Jason Philip Macendale, he is a villian currently know as Jack O'Lantern, he wears a cool Pumpkin Head ala Headless Horseman, but has a stupid mode of transportation on a Giant Pogo Stick thing. The Hobgoblin is sent to kill Jack O'Lantern,, but instead he kills the Hobgoblin and eventually takes over the suit AS Hobgoblin 2 only wanting to be a good guy and get revenge on those who tried to kill him. He finds out that Spider-man doesn't buy it and they remain enemies. The Hobgoblin gets power hungry trying to locate the whereabouts of the original Goblin technology. Eventually his frustrations lead him to a Demon to strike a deal. He is transformed into DemoGoblin - A true Goblin, no mask is needed and the powers are unreal. He even flys on a Fire Bird eventually. Later the struggle between the man and the Demon cause the two to seperate and Demogoblin becomes a seperate character who joins up with Carnage on killing sprees and whatnot. Demogoblin believed he was punishing the wicked and cleansing the world.

A psychotherapists named Barton Hamilton. He has tracked and followed the Goblin for many years and has become obsessed with the Goblin. He eventually becomes the third Green Goblin but it's a short lived experience.

Phil Ulrich is another long story... he becomes the first Goblin to use the powers for good and eventually makes Spider-man see this as well. He has a run of comics for a time showcasing his adventures. Phil constantly battles the thought of all the goblins in the past who have died and that whoever wears the suit and has this power may be cursed to live a short life.

There was a fifth Green Goblin, and a story with harry Osborn coming back to life, but I don't know enough about that.

In the movies, I could see harry going almost straight into the Hobgoblin suit and upgrading to the Razor Bats and even adding the finger lasers to make a new type of character for the movie. Possibly even becoming the Demon possesed Goblin near the end for the climax of the movie. I doubt any more Goblins will be in the movies though.

I'm pretty sure it was FOX who bought the rights for DBZ... I might be wrong and thinking about another movie though. Ill check after i post this.

And I was just asking about what u saw.

Oh, that gives me better expectations. Why don't you start a DragonBall Z thread, or have you? I think you should, I'd like to talk about that more.

OK, Spidey, I'm not quoting because of the size, but lemme fix some of your details.

Harry did become the Goblin, in fact he even used the serum. Right before he first became the Goblin, he had drug problems, trying to deal with his father's death. After his first defeat, he started seeing a psychiatrist (Hamilton). During hipnosis sessions, Harry spilled the beans on the Goblin secret. Hamilton eventually found an old stash of Goblin equipment and became GG 3. After thatm Harry had a new run, but again was defeated and a had a case of amnesia, forgetting everything about the Goblin, including Pete's identity. That's when the first Hobgoblin found another stash of equipment and came to be. He was thought to be Ned Leeds, but he was in fact Rodney something, a fashion designer. Then along came Macendale, who found the old Hobgoblin equipment and changed costumed identities. During Inferno, after losing to Spidey and to Harry Goblin, he made a deal with Nastirth, powers for his soul. He eventually got mad, and that only ended when his demon persona was separated from him, thus the Demogoblin. Macendale then started using a cybernetic Hobgoblin suit, and was killed in prison by the original Hobgoblin. In the mean time, Harry recovered his memory, found the serum, became insane and died. You got Phil right, and there was a Harry hologram and Goblin robots, untill Norman came back from the dead. He has died/gone totally insane a couple of times after that, but that's another story...

Did I get everything? :D

I just LOVE Spider-Man...
