Although, I had high hopes for Ben as Spider-Man....

So am I, but my main complaint about it was killing off Aunt May and replacing Pete with Ben. I'd rather if they kept Ben as the brother/cousin and as Scarlet Spider. He really didn't need to die.

Doc Ock is in!!!

Although not my favorite villian, he is a worthy choice... Doc Ock is definetly in the sequel. That doesn't mean he will be the only major villian though... we'll see.

I have the collector's DVD Gift pack on Reserve.:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

The rumor I saw (probably the same one you are quoting from) mentioned The Lizard. I was never a huge Spider-Man fan (I liked the Fantastic Four) but there was something cool about the lizard. Imagine him CG so he looks almost like the raptors in Jurassic park!

Does anyone remember punisher, he had a suit that looked kinda like venoms but without a mask, and he had all these guns. I dont think he was in spiderman, but he was always my favorite comic book character, even though I never read them.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think there was a terrible "Punisher" movie starring Dolf Lundgren. Can anyone else confirm this?

Punisher was in Spider-man comics many times. And the biggest difference in Punishers suit and Venom is that Venoms suit is an alien that can change to look like any type of clothes it wants, even camaflouge with the background.

But Punisher also had a series of his own and appeared other places as well.

Venom's story would be severely sacraficed to make a movie, unless the suit and minor back story begins in one movie, and materializes as a true Villian in another movie.

Latest I'm seeing is that the next Spider-man movie will be called :

The Amazing Spider-man !

I like it! I like it!

Kristen Dunst and Tobey McGuire should both be returning despite other rumors. Whether others (Gwen Stacey) will be in the movie, I haven't heard yet. (although it would really change the timeline of Spider-man even more)

Does anyone know the figures on DVD sales and if they were #1?

How about total gross income for the movie Spider-man Franchise?

On a side note... as far as X-men are concerned... I hear their is one more movie, then a spin-off movie called Wolverine. But before all the Spiders and Mutants... the Hulk is coming... and full force to say the least... it looks Awesome.:D

Very Nice... one of the things that will make this movie so great is that the focus (as in Spider-man) is in the right place. It's not about the hero as much as the life of the character who is the hero. The Hulk will have many psychological aspects on Anger and Fear. I would think this movie may even have some scary scenes, but definitely be a sure fire winner at the box office. When things are done right, the rewards are huge. I can't wait, and they have been very secretive with this one.

I just hope they don't "CGI it to death"

OK, this is what I know of the Spidey DVD: 18 million copies were sold (7 million in pre-order and 11 million in the first three days), and that represents 190 million dollars. Sony believes it's gonna be the number one pretty soon (I don't know what's the current number 1 worldwide ever).

In related news, I've got Stan Lee: Mutants, Monsters and Marvels on pre-order!!!! They're releasing it down here!!!! WOOO-HOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Also, the biggest open TV channel down here is rerunning "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" on weekdays and "He-Man" on Saturdays! Is that cool or what??? Not to mention that the other biggest channel airs Silverhawks, Thundercats and X-Men: Evolution, back to back, on weekdays! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Spidey...you know how much I like Nightcrawler...I kinda know a little about him...I'll tell you what I know (or at least THINK I know)...if you or anyone else can tell me any more or correct me, I'd appreciate it :)

Is his mother Mystique???

I know that he was in a traveling carnival but left to go out on his own. And I believe he wasn't originally an X-man but Prof. X saved him from humans that thought he was a demon or something. His powers allow him to climb walls, teleport, and be virtually invisible in the shadows...

Is there anything else to this character??? He looks sooo cool and has an awesome power...but it seems like his "background" is kind of weak.
