O.K. Spidey Fans, this is it...

He has had:

Thousands of Comics
More toys than you can count
Multiple Cartoon Series
The #1 Ride in the World
The #1 Movie in the World
A couple of TV Series
and a cereal

Here's where you can discuss all things Spider-man.

History
Facts
Comparissons
Future
Anything Goes

I am not an expert, but dare say I have one of the best knowledges of the character on the WDWMagic page so I will try to answer any questions, or find the answer for you. But I don't know all the details either.

You forgot one thing about that list...

He's on WDWMAGIC.COM :)

Ok, how different was the movie from the comic? (besides the fact that he has more "powers" in the movie) Was it pretty accurate in the way that he became Spiderman?

Let's see...

Comic: The Spider was Radiated
Movie: The Spider was Genetically Engineered

Comic: Uncle Ben is killed by a crook that Parker let's get away
Movie: Ditto

Comic: Spidey's love interest is Gwen Stacey, a blonde (MJ is much later)
Movie: MJ is the main squeeze even before being bitten

Comic: Green Goblin wears more of a realistic suit
Movie: Metallic Green Armor

Overall the core stories are the same, they just abridged alot of the details to fit in the time restraints and to keep them going full steam into future movies.

One detail they did not go into... Spidey's Webbing in the comics is man-made and dissolves in a couple hours. Therefore you don't have crooks hanging all over the place or Webs left over all through the city. In the movie, the webs are organic and they do not tell what happens to them over time.

I know for sure he has a top, bottom, and a head piece. His gloves are seperate from the shirt so he can wear it under his clothes without his costume on his hands.

He has had some altered variations in the past. One costume was actually a living alien that could change to appear as clothes, so in reality he wasn't wearing a thing.

That image you posted is from the Badrock Team-Up, right? That actually was a fun story...

And have you heard they're planning a new love interest for Spidey 2? That's gonna screw things up... Movie MJ is pretty much Gwen, so they'll either have Ultimate Gwen or Betty Brant (who had a quick no-name cameo).

The movies costume had a lot more pieces to it.

It had a head piece, upper torso, lower torso, sleeves that ended at the elbow, forarms(SP?), gloves, thighs, calves and shoes/feet/slippers/whatever they were.

After the movies release the studio auctioned every piece on eBay, along with some probs and other costumes like MJs waitress outfit. Thats where i got this info.

I hope not, especially after the build up with MJ in the movie.

Hmmm, ultimate Gwen Stacey... who would you cast?

Does anyone else have the feeling that the baddie in the next Spider-Man movie will be Venom (that is his name right?)? And I have a feeling I know who it will be...

Well, I hope Venom is in a movie, and soon. But I bet they go with Doc Ock first. I also heard that since Spidey is established now, the other movies will have a lot more small villians throughout the film. Maybe people like Electro, Sandman, Scorpion, Rhino, and so on... Sounds like lots of action and a great way to see lots of villians on screen. They could even do the Sinister Six idea.

Saw where DragonBall Z rights have been purchased. Go Goku!!

Yes, I saw a teaser Poster. I can't remember wheahter it was Paramount or WB, but I know a huge sum was paid and production is suppose to go into Super Saiyan 3 to get it out quickly. They want to franchise off it while they can ala Harry Potter. If done right, this will be a major movie draw. Have you seen a trailer already? or just asking. I'm pretty sure this movie will get made, I don't see what would hold it back.

Of course the end of Jason goes to Hell had Freddy's Glove, and that movie has been in Limbo ever since.

Ummmm you're wrong on one thing....I could get you an acurate count on how many Spidey toys were ever released.

IMO the only good years for the Spidey comic were when McFarlane was doing the art work. :)

Otherwise X Men rule out of all Marvel comics. :p

The Freddy Vs. Jason movie was just recently confirmed...I could probably find an article on it. :)

Seeeeeeee! :D

"August 5, 2002... To no one's surprise, today's Variety confirmed that Freddy vs. Jason has been given a go-ahead by New Line. One new piece of news was the announcement of Brad Renfro (Apt Pupil) in the cast. Renfro's character is described as someone who gets in-between Freddy and Jason as they duke it out."

Can't wait for that one!

Give me a few minutes I have connections. You're messing with the wroooooong toy collector! ;)
