That must be the X-men 1.5 they are advertising in Suncoast. I don't know what will be new, they had a lot in the first release. Maybe some preview trailers for the new movie and possible a Movie ticket. I don't know. The new trend at the moment is to release another version every year or so it seems... The Grinch, Willy Wonka, and many Disney Cartoons have gone this route. I am so tempted to buy the new Enchanted Christmas release just to get the "II" on the side of the case so it looks correct in my Beauty and the Beast Box. I wouldn't think there would be that much extra to be worth it if you already have the X-men DVD right now, but that's up to you. If you find out some good extras let me know... I don't have an X-men DVD period.

This trend is getting really annoying. I'm finding myself holding back on buying things now because I assume there will be a "Special Edition" coming. :brick: If the studios don't settle down, I think DVD sales will start to suffer.

According to Amazon.com, it's gonna be a 2-disc set, and it seems to have a REALLY huge making-og, and a commentary with Brian Synger, Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen. Maybe it'l be worth it, I have no idea if we're gonna get it.

Also, you mentioned the Grinch, they released the cartoon on VHS last year along with the movie (this one on VHS and DVD). I love that cartoon and I wish they'd release it on DVD down here... (Not to mention the Treasures series... I just read a review on the Complete Goofy... I want it, darn it!!!)

Definitely! I mean, there's gonna be a point when you can't give people your old ones anymore, they'll start to notice what you're doing!!!

But seriously, we don't have this problem as much as you guys. Usually the Special Editions that have to come out just come... Like Singin' in the Rain, I got he first one, now I want the 2-disc SE. But Dogma and Mallrats, I have the regular ones, the SEs never came out down here. The same with Disney, stuff like Snow White, Tarzan, Bug's Life, none of that got down here with 2 discs. The only exceptions were Beauty and the Beast and Monsters Inc.

First Real Good Spider-man 2 news

The Amazing Spider-Man: At last some news to get excited over. Coming Attractions scored this report about what SFX designer Lyle Conway was working on for the sequel before his untimely dismissed from the project. According to the insider, Conway was testing out the mechanical arm appendages for the Dr. Octopus character - ""Sam [Raimi] wants to use mechanical tentacles whenever possible, he wants the actors to have actual physical tentacles to interact with. Sam wants to 'save the CGI for Spider-Man'. The puppeteers filmed some test scenes with someone wearing prototype tentacles. In the test footage, Doc Ock is standing behind a desk and he picks up the phone, puts on a pair of glasses, pops a cigar into his mouth, lights the cigar, and dials the phone. The smoke alarm on the ceiling goes off and he smashes it with one of his tentacles. Then he starts to sit down (without looking) and another tentacle reaches out behind him and grabs a chair-placing it under him in the nick of time. Bear in mind that all of this happens simultaneously. Sam was floored".

I am getting hyped now.:D

And the guy who was fired was responsible for THIS? What were they thinking? But Sam Raimi is REALLY great, to demand mechanical tentacles. No wonder the Evil Dead Trilogy is still beloved...

On another note, I just got my copy of Stan Lee: Mutants, Monsters and Marvels. I'll watch it tomorrow and let you know! I'm SO hyped for this one!!! :D :D :D

Ok, three bits of news:

1. Maybe you guys already knew this, but apparently Ang Lee completely messed up the Hulk origin. It's not gonna be a gamma bomb, but experiences made to him by his father... :lookaroun :brick:

2. There's a new, much better Daredevil trailer up and around.

3. Spidey, this is THE Spider-Man website. Spider-Man.org. Really cool. Probably gonna supply you with lots of future avatars...

I know that site, and I have tons of Avatars, but I can't stop making them.

I want to see Daredevil, only the Kingpin should have been enhanced more, he is awful thin.

No, I haven't heard too much on the Hulk, but it's OK if they have Stan's Approval (he believes in keeping current with the times in the stories as long as the core remains, remember Spider-man -- a genetically engineered Spider and no web fluid) and they make it believable and true to the main storyline setting (Hulk vs. self/world/nature).

Just heard that the Green Goliath is gonna show his pretty mug (and probably something else since they say he's NOT gonna be wearing purple pants...) for the first time this Sunday, during a Super Bowl commercial, and that after the game the trailer will be up on the Net.

Where you been Rod, we talked about that a few pages back.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing it. I hope there are no purple pants unless there is a good reason to have a quick joke thrown into the movie. He could even say "Hulk Smash!" if done correctly.

Sorta how Robin says "Holy Rusted Metal Batman" in Batman Forever.

We have? D'Oh! :hammer: Oh well... I'll be sure to review it along with you guys first thing Monday morning, since we don't have the actual game!

Just heard, this will indeed be a monstrous Hulk as we see in the comics and not a Muscle builder type as we saw in the old TV series. It sounds spectacular, and during super bowl, the Hulk Trailer will have plenty to whet our appetites for destruction. The hulk will throw a tank.

This movie will Rock the Industry once again... Marvel is finally getting what they deserved for so long now.

I LOVE that scene! Kevin Smith wanted to have them crash a Spider-Man shoot but Sony whined about it so since he was writing Daredevil, he decided to change.
