Spend a day at the Tragic Kingdom

This is the exact type of post that the person you quoted was refering to. It's simply a satire map, but you are getting all bent out of shape over it. The site that made this actually does a lot of maps from different cities in the same fashion. So they don't focus all of their aim at Disney.

Relax.
I refuse to see how I am getting bent out of shape-I was simply explaining myself. Whether or not this map is funny has no bearing on my life whatsoever. My intent was to explain why I don't find it funny, and I think I made that pretty clear. There are alot of people on here that whine and complain and moan about everything that is done at WDW and everything that Disney is doing right/wrong with the parks-I am not one of those people. There are a few things on the map that definitely have an element of truth, but there are alot that are baseless and a bad attempt at satire-again, just my opinion.

Somewhat humorous. A few parts that are spot on. I chuckled at a few, a few others were meh. Parade of unprepared teenagers and Golden Corral for rich people were funny.

Not enough to get upset about, but of course YMMV.

I find this pretty funny! I saw this on Tumblr originally and not going to lie, some of it was accurate. "Fastpass - sold out" and "Pixar is the future" were two of my favorites. I don't think it's worth getting upset about though. It's completely a joke, plus you have to admit some of this is painfully accurate.

I showed this to my Disney-loving family, and they found it hilarious. My daughter, in particular, liked it enough to seek out other maps like this, and found a funny one about our hometown. This is the daughter who begs me weekly to go back to Disney World. Finding the map funny doesn't equate to hating Disney. Just my 2 cents.

I wish I could be a little more articulate when explaining the difference between negative and satire. Satire is when, in this case, they take an attraction and redefine the name of it, because of it's structure and content. It isn't saying that it is awful, it is just humorously saying that it can be looked at as something different. Nothing about that says bad, just that we will see things in our own way and the original intent is not important or even disputed. If anyone can express a better explanation, please do so. I know the difference, but, I cannot easily describe it.

Some minor chuckles but for the most part I found it insulting and stupid. This is more of a negative bash than actual satire. More like a roast where they insult the star and make fun of them at their expense.

Yea, and so far I'm sure it has cost Disney a small fortune in money and psychological damage. I'm sure they are staying awake nights, wringing their collective hands and crying in their cornflakes! How about a little less drama and more perspective.

Sorry but you completely missed the point. Move on.

Which part did you not understand? The part where I personally thought the map was stupid and insulting or my analogy about the difference between satire and a negative bash? There was no drama in my post. Don't know how you leapt to Disney's psychological health.
