Spectromagic is getting way old.

need i remind you that spectro has had changes. Where Genie now stands use to be occupied by roger Rabbit.

And Tapestry added the Dream Seekers - that doesn't mean the show is physically holding up well.

This year should signal the end of Spectromagic as much as I love it.

Talk is it's being replaced with Tokyo's version of the Main street elecric light parade.
Those talks have happened many times over the past few years. I'll believe it when I see it

to be more exact Dream Seekers were part of Tapestry of Dreams,
which was a $300 shopping spree at K-Mart of a rehab.

Lots of new stuff, all of it crap.

OMG! The puppeteers have bells now! The puppets can be windchimes! The discman has an old zildjian cymbals... CRASH!

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Not Tapestry of Nations.

That was a good ORIGINAL parade

Careful what you wish for, Videotek. I'm sure Disney still has the Light Magic floats in mothballs and are just waiting for the chance to spring that back on an unsuspecting world. While it wasn't awful, it wasn't even in the same realm as The Main Street Electrical Parade, Spectromagic, or just about any other parade ever created by Disney (okay, I admit I haven't seen them all, so I might be wrong).
I'm looking forward to seeing Spectromagic next month, because I haven't seen it (except in videos) for four years. While yes, they could add a new float every now and then, I think it holds up just fine. And I really don't see what's so frightening or awful about the characters with the white masks...but that's just me.

You know what, the facades and buildings on Main Street are also getting pretty old. The whole colonial America thing just doesn't match Florida in 2006. We need to annihilate these notable fixtures and install buildings that match the elevation style of Houston in the 1990s. Definitely.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Improving on what you already have is great, but not at the expense of "fixing" a current feature attraction that has high guest satisfaction. Add a new float and perform maintenance? Great. Other modifications? Not so great. Spectromagic is a novelty synonymous with the Magic Kingdom, and damaging the integrity of it doesn't do anything but dilute the kingdoms' brand and ambience.

i must admit, if the tokyo version comes over to usa, i wuld make a visit from england to see it, that version is fantastic, if they use all the flaots.

with paris, that parade i think will stay there for a while, as it only came over 3 yrs ago, if ya look at the history, they use night parades for a while

besides, the parades parade is th best night parade ive ever seen, much better than msep and spectro......

its has a much better stort, better floats, and the way it is presented is sooooooooo much better....

if they used all the floats from tokyo, parise would b on a winner, but they only used half

Maybe they should bring back the Main Street Electrical Parade

yea even that would be better than spectromagic alittle blast from the past, if Disney was celbrating 50 years they should have brought that back for the celebration.

MSEP.. sure. But I think it's one of the few things that's saving DCA right now
Sorry Rob... the only thing I think is even worth mentioning in regards to MSEP is the Elliot float from Pete's Dragon.

The music annoys me to no end, and nothing is near as "magical" as Spectro.

i like the parade also. they should keep it looking good though. this was walt's favortive parade.

I may be wrong, but isn't spectromagic rather new compared to the Main Street Electrical Parade (or did Spectro come from DL). Wasn't Walt gone already. I was devasted when the electrical parade was gone, spectromagic is an alright replacement; however, I am sure they could do better.

So, you don't see a difference between Main Street USA and a parade that runs on Main Street? :brick:

Like I said, I enjoy Spectro and I enjoyed MSEP. I wouldn't mind seeing a new night parade or just some additions and updates to Spectro. But, I don't want MSEP to come back. Let's move forward.
