I would love to see a NEW parade to incorporate something like that.

Also, I wonder whether the effect will be as good if it is just a guest now and then who bought the hat and not a media audience where everyone was given a hat for free...

I like MSEP but not the Disney's Electrical Parade. That's the one we see now, not MSEP. I prefer SpectroMagic over Disney's Electrical Parade. Bring it back!!

I actually love the MSEP in its current form.... hope we get to keep it....

There is NO reason that MSEP and Spectro cannot coexist either at the MK or hey here is a thought how about a night time parade at DHS?

For what it's worth Spectro wins for me. MSEP was such a let down, it seemed really dated in comparison. Don't ask me why, it just did. Maybe it was the music, too 80s.

Choosing between MSEP and Spectro Magic is like choosing between children. They are both great, both have great musical scores, and both look magical as they head down Main Street USA. I think it depends on which one is tied more to your favorite WDW memories. MSEP reminds me of my childhood trips to WDW and Spectro Magic reminds me more of my adult trips. But both are wonderful memories so I am excited either way when I find out which parade will be running during my visit.
