Someone said the trivia shown while waiting for video to generate was to be replaced with some sort of cityscape animation. Did that happen?

yes trivia is gone, and plays a line drawing cityscape animation. nothing exciting.

ascent is excellent, descent is as poor as during the soft opens.

Still don't believe that's true, otherwise you would have seen other changes made to the descent. Apparently, the SSE CM reports of lots of happy riders was true. :wave:

I focus on the postive stuff and the stuff that can be positive and isn't. If Disney would do things right the first time, I'm sure there would be far less complaning. To be honest, someone making decisions needs to be let go. It's quite obvious most guests prefer animatronics/sets over screens. Nearly everything they've done minus EE involves screens somehow.

well i know alot of people who dont like the descent, and i have seen polls and opinions on line. of course its all relative as to how you define lots.

glad you are happy with it, i personally was hoping for much much more. this refurb does not show what disney are capable of, nowhere near it.

And did they postpone the start of the descent video until after you've gone through the blue star field? (It seemed odd that the screens turned on during the one and only part of the descent where there was something to look at outside the vehicle)

The paperboy is still facing the wall, but the wall has a mat painting of a city street on it now. It looks okay.

Also, aside from the glowy ceiling triangles, there looked to be some other unlit stuff right after the LED grid thing. Could not tell what it was, I was trying to do the quiz at the same time.

I'm at MCO now, waiting for my flight back to Boston. Just glad I got to see it before I left, such as it is.

Remember Lee mentioned that he saw someone carrying a stack of what appeared to be pavers in to the mirror column area to which you responded...

Stupid question, but are sure they were concrete pavers and not drop ceiling tiles that were just that grey color? Unless i'm mis understanding your interpetation of pavers, wouldn't they be on a pallet on not carried? Due to weight?

I guess i'm curious what we're talking about, can ya goggle us an image of roughly what sort of material Lee?

I think that is what the panels are.

well, . but if the panels cover that awful chicken wire and glow or something I guess that is okay, anything is better than that chicken wire.

Interesting how they made the paperboy stagnant, looking at a city backdrop, that sounds like somewhat of an improvement compared to before I guess. All in all still sounds like there are kinks to work out. I wonder what the unlit area is one poster mentioned if that still has yet to come on.

Well, HM just got the busts working properly, so there's still a tinge of hope, and i'm not sure it's 100% finished. March 1st is some sorta hoopla date.

yes paperboy is still facing away from you, but has a backdrop now.

the video did appear to begin later, but we estopped during that point, so I couldnt be 100% sure on timings.
