Depends. Depending on your size and shape it can be very easy to stand despite the lapbar.

Regardless the point is there is no “law” requiring the spiel.

The only law a work is Darwins Law and the fear of some idiot standing, getting hurt and suing. Its not like this hasn't happened before and, generally, lap bars and/or announcement cover it. In the instance of SE, its a ride that suddenly spins 180 and goes backwards, so Im sure there are people who get freaked out about it. On a ride like Everest, Im sure the lapbar and roller coaster aspect are enough for a common person to figure it out.

Remember...most precautions are there because some idiot, at some point, thought "I should try to swim in jungle cruise".

“Suddenly”? It’s an omnimover, it’s not exactly whipping you around like Primeval Whirl. But I totally agree with the rest of it. :)

Well...Its a slow motion forward ride that, to the uninitiated, turns 180 degrees and then back slides at a steep angle. I know its an omnimover and does this, but, unfortunately, we must account for Zeke "Hold My Beer" Dayguest...

Common meaning anyone with an IQ in double digits. It's not brain surgery.

Crazy notion... but they used a Rod Serling impersonator for most of Tower or Terror, and it worked out perfectly.

How would you guys feel if they used a Walt Disney impersonator for a new Spaceship Earth narration?

I'd just love to ride it without the "Please remain seated. Your Time Machine will be rotating backward for your return to Earth. " Warning. It ruins the spectacle of 180TOP.
Wasn't there once a woman who saw the car with her kids spin backwards and go down and jumped out of her own car to rescue her kids?

Maybe it's just one of those urban legends, but I I try to console myself with it to somewhat bear the 180 top spiel.
