I think we got that in 2007. But the more the park drifts aimlessly, the more specific (or even semi specific) pavilion themes become irrelevant.

Thinking back to the olden days of the descent where we saw doctors working via tv set, satellite communications, and other fiber optic wonders, I really hope that they can maybe fit some VERY future centric ideas in there, some that will last for the next 25 years without becoming obsolete. I can see why they ripped out half the ride, considering that the 'future' either came into existence or was far surpassed by technology... BUT, giving us a cheap interactive animation and a self portrait (that never look right, NEVER), was so cheap that it pretty much ruined the ride for me. The park can drift to whatever it wants, but SSE tells the human story and where its going and needs to have the proper due diligence put toward it.

For some reason just because someone doesn’t follow everyone else it’s a problem. Sorry I have own mind and thoughts and don’t need no one to tell me what to think. I can see with my own eyes when Disney makes mistakes and WDI puts out lackluster projects.

You do realize that by saying, "just because someone doesn’t follow everyone else it’s a problem", you are in fact describing a healthy portion of posters/members of this forum? Because we don't follow what 90% (or more) of the crowds at WDW think. A lot of us know what was and has been, and you may very well be one of those long-time guests. So looking at what WDI has been capable of doing over the years, when they are allowed to, is amazing, but they simply aren't allowed to do that very often anymore, and that hurts. Compare Pandora with Toy Story Land for a comparison with what they capable of doing vs. what they are allowed to do. We think... we know... that WDI could still do amazing things, but management directives (like IP-inclusion), budget games, and their own project spending habits have neutered a lot of what they are capable of doing. And those things that we think don't fit with the short-term, quarterly-profits-now thinking of today's TWDC. It is what it is. Somewhere deep inside, I've resigned myself to the fact that the pinnacle of the Disney Theme Park experience peaked in decades past. Today it's all about synergy and merchandising and cheap thrills, for lack of a better term, because that is what makes the cash registers ring, and that's the only thing which is truly cared about anymore.

You know I totally understand where you guys are coming from. I feel like new leadership is needed just like everyone else. Some of the things tirian said I do agree with and maybe came off a little dismissive. But I refuse to nitpick every little thing the Imagineers did wrong the last couple of projects to prove a point. We have no clue what goes on behind the scenes to really put blame solely on one group of people.

agree unfortunately,,,and this is from my own far fetched thoughts lol but I bet they find a way to shorten the ride,,,and the next version wont even use narration,, not in the form were use to anyway. Have a feeling its going to be entirely different and unrecognizable. Whatever route they do go with its going to be interesting for sure. And being chapekcot, no ip would be shocking. but heres hoping for something incredible.

Miniature 'cities of the future' dioramas never get old if done right. Although I have no idea if such a thing is on the drawing board.

I will look at it this way... I am nothing at all like I was 40 years ago, but, I am still awesome! If you were to put a picture of me 40 years ago and one as of today, no one would ever think it is the same person.

I just want there to be a dark ride in the geodesic sphere. If it is entertaining and well done I don't care if it is different or displays a different theme. I have seen the old version, more or less 40+ times over the years and would love to see something new if it is well done. Something that future generations with no memories to get in the way, can enjoy for years to come, just like we got the chance to do.

I maybe one of the only people that does not like spaceship earth ,I am afraid of heights so there are parts of the ride I have issues with which is funny because I can do roller coasters just fine

Pure speculation, but I could see them pivoting away from communication as technology and changing the emphasis to the global community, the world coming together a la world Showcase. It seems like (based on interviews I've seen) they still somewhat understand that element of the park, even if the whole future world concept is lost in them.
