Spaceship Earth Closing For Rehab

Actually, you hit the nail on the head. That is how things are done here. You must follow the rules, after all, they are the rules.

As for the drinking problem comment, alcoholics go to rehab. SSE is going under reFURB.
I can honestly say I have never used the "search feature" before making a thread, and I'm pretty sure no one does. There are 2,000,000 posts in these boards. Anything you or anyone could possibly think to post has already been discussed and I would bet at least 5 people have had your argument. The way things REALLY work here is that if you check the first couple pages of threads in a given forum and don't find that your question has been answered, you start a thread. Even that is pretty lax, though. Thus we end up with about 5 threads a week proclaiming that THIS IS THE WEEK the Wand will come down...

I hate this place. I want to use harsher language but I'll just call you a snob and stop coming here. Why can't you just be friendly? There seem to be alot of legitimately nice people here and I appreciate you all but I can't take the other people, I'm taking a break from this place.

i rarely use the search function. however, i did just search the "rules"/ faq. unless i missed something, i didnt see anything in it that stated that you must do a search before starting a new thread.

I'm not trying to get in the middle of a big debate, but personally, I think you should at least glance over the last couple pages of threads and make sure you're not saying the exact same thing as 3 other people. There are always going to be duplicate threads, but if everyone takes a little effort before starting a thread, they can certainly be minimized. :)

Not to continue the thread drift, but getting upset over the search function cracks me up. I think the same people who want "newbies" to use the search function are the ones who will get upset when an old thread is revived :hammer:

Oh well

I'm sure that's true

To some other people: I will try to use the search function more often, I just had a simple question and didn't want to read through a bunch of random forum hoping it would be answered. Sorry if I was a jerk, I just work 2 and 1/2 jobs while going to college; I'm tired and don't understand people getting y over asking a little question.

Re-hab and re-furb are both used in the construction industry to describe projects similar to what SSE will be undergoing. Therefore they are interchangeable.

If we want to get technical SSE would be undergoing "interior alterations/additons". At least in most jurisdictions.

Was that the "it's not you, it's me speech"? Heck that info was even up on the main page under news, so you didn't even have to use the search feature. I could care less if you bring back some old topic, I would ignore that one, it is just the fact that PEOPLE DON'T TAKE THE TIME TO LOOK!!!! This is something not only here but in the real world. How about instead of taking the time to type up the post askinga bout a topic, taking that same time to look and find the answer. I am sorry if I am upseting you or other posters and I know that I don't have to read your post just like you can skip over this one, but for the LOVE OF WALT all you have to do is open you eyes and read and find the answers.

Um wrong thread. There is a hate thread available to post your hate in, actually.

No that one got merged with the other hate topics. But I did see another SSE, Wand, and 5th park thread pop up. :brick: :brick: :brick:

What happens if you take that time to search for an answer and there is none, then you have to post the question anyway. Now you have spent both the time to look and the time to post. In this particular instance you have just wasted time.

Also there is the distinct possibility that when searching you may not be looking in the right place, or could simply miss the answer you were looking for - even though it was there. After that searching you post your question and are then assailed by others for doing so when the answer had already been posted.

Based upon all of this it seems that there are only a few options:

1.) Search the site prior to posting - if you can't find anything post your question and hope that it hasn't already been discussed.

2.) Search, and search and search for the answer which may or not be here. Continue to search forever to avoid offending anyone of a duplicate post.

3.) Get fed up with the entire situation and decide to see what happens when a computer monitor travels through at high speed across the room and impacts the opposite wall from where it was once located.

First off, you know my comment was directed towards that girl right, not you? It was kind of a bratty thing to say to me but I apologized, I was alittle harsh in response. All I asked was are they actually going to add anything with this refurb (rehab has the same definition) or is the attraction just being touched up? I didn't ask somebody to go fetch me all the facts about it, just wanted a few word answer if anybody felt like answering. I don't log on here much, I just saw the topic, saw what was said, and asked a simple question. Your blood pressure has to be out of control if you see the need to react like this, settle down. If some dude on an internet forum about Disney World really upsets you so much by asking a very neutral question that you have no obligation to answer, you are going to die young from an aneurysm.

Again, thanks. "That girl" appreciates it!
