Spaceship Earth and Siemens

Does Siemens actually have a picture logo, or are we just talking about them putting their brand name on signage and whatnot? If it's a picture logo, anyone have a picture of that?

Aha! Thanks Buford for the pic!

And 'hooray!' for the continued use of World Bold aka Prototype font on the directional signage!

Thanks very much for the picture,
Also, something new I noticed at the beginning of the ride is a security monitor from inside the attraction with a sign below saying something to the effect of Not Following Rider Instructions Can Cause You To Be Asked To Leave The Park. Something I never noticed before.
These are relatively new but not brand new, I think they have been in atleast a year now.

the videos of the people talking on the video phones have been cropped (rather badly) to get rid of the AT&T logo. This makes the videos very uneven on the flat screens.
You would think that they would just have covered the logos with a solid color to remove the logos. Maybe when the implement the Siemens logo's to the ride they will use the uncut footage and stick the new logos over the AT&T ones.

One question though, how comes for Illuminations Reflections of Earth they use the name Sylvannia, yet for SSE they are using the name Siemens. You would think they would keep them the same. I know IROE states it is a Siemens company but still.

Most likely it has to do with specialization. Siemens is primarily a telecom company, so SSE is an ideal fit for having their name on. Illuminations: ROE uses lighting and video, specialties of Sylvania. So instead of utilizing the Siemens name on more than one attraction, they can sponsor two things, using their main corporate name and the name of one of their holdings that relates well to the second attraction and get more advertising for a wider range of their products and services.

You know, if it meant getting rid of the wand and restoring the entrance to a nicer state, I would almost go for that...

Just my thoughts...

A new sponsor probably wouldn't want to attach their logo until they had an improved product to introduce. Otherwise they lose the initial "BANG" and recognition for their investment.

Better to avoid the negative comments from those complaining that the ride is still the same as always.

That's a good point, actually. I wouldn't want my name on the noisiest ride mechanism in christendom either :)

I'm just wondering when we'll hear something. Oct. 1st maybe?

As for me, I'm still blindly hoping the wand comes down for the 25th...
