Space Mountain

...after reading about 12 pages regarding the definition of a panel...I'd thought I would settle this debate once and for all.

According to the dictionary, a panel is: "a flat (usually rectangular) piece of construction material made to form part of a surface.

Ex: precast masonry, vertical section of fabric, and plywood.

There you go! That's it! The debate has ended. No more arguing about panels! :D

There is just no such thing as plastic paneling (its always metal, with maybe a plastic like overcoat for roofing - I have yet to see any plastic panelling in existence).

From the manufacturers? Check out Architectural Record. They have a bunch of ads for manufacturers in there. I used to work for an Architectural company, but since I am no longer there I don't remember the company names. They use large sheets of plastics (recycled is the big thing now) for roofing panels. In something like Space Mountain you would use long panels so as not to have a horizontal seam halfway up the roof.

Out of curiosity, you seem very distressed over the thought of them. May I ask why? It's not something that is all too uncommon.
