Space Mountain - WDW - Does It Still Shake Really Badly?

They knew best. Many attribute it to Phil Holmes, VP of the park at that time.

The spray paint marks where the track supports were to have been cut for removal are still visible today.
But why would they not proceed further to prevent future liability? Money and greed?! How is it so difficult just to repair a ride and fix/restore/clean show scene components?

I love SM. Wouldn't be the same if you didn't have to pop all of your joints back in after the ride. Being in pitch black adds to the thrill of it. Maybe everyone else should stick to Dumbo :p

It sucks getting old 😄 I felt pretty rough after the second time but was just fine after the next few rides ( we rode it 9 times one night!!)

After riding Space at DLR, I was disappointed my next ride on WDW's. As @marni1971 stated, we came so close.... But I've gotten too old to tolerate the jarring, joint dislocating mess that our Space Mountain has become. Really sad, because I loved Space Mountain.

Is process of ride inspection/quality control (as in the lifespan of attraction) different between Anaheim and Orlando? Does Reedy Creek have anything to do with determining whether or not a ride needs to be brought offline so it is suitable and safe for guests.

"Reallly badly" is a bit hard to define.

With roller coasters though, the back tends to jostle more than the front.

It might also help to wear rubber soled shoes; being able to plant one's feet can help a little.

It might also help to drink plenty of water before riding, and maybe avoid riding it in the hottest/most humid parts of the day. Dehydration and heat often contribute to headaches. Dehydration +jostling +heat = headache.
