Space Mountain/Tomorrowland Transit Authority update...

Anyone got any updated pics of this week? Its amazing what the outside will look like more room for people to sit and wait for other family and friends!!!

Yes I have notice that, now hopefully it wont be too crowded in some parts of that area. I really want to see the interior, not seeing it and being clueless is killing me hahaha.

O, and thanks for reviving this thread:ROFLOL:

Edit: never mind it just died again lol

Meh...I meant more of a overall type thing. They just didn't appeal, storywise.

It's because you thought it was for Girls didn't you? I remember those kids. I remember coming to terms with classes in Elementary school that loving Sailor Moon or Cardcaptor Sakura makes you no less of a guy...It makes you a geek.
 :lookaroun

(Just kidding...:p Look up the Powerpuff Girls episode "The Beat Alls"...That one is hilarious. )

I'm too lazy to look if this has been brought up, but today I heard a new musical score along the TTA segment that goes over the queue, and a cool sound effect as a rocket reached the top of the lift hill. Sounded like the ricochet of a ray gun is the best I can describe it.

Also, the concrete out front is all finished and looks gorgeous. The tenuous fountain was filled with what appeared to be sand. And there looked to be some lighting fictures being fiddled with on the top of the bathrooms, and a lot of painting going on everywhere.

:sohappy: Cant wait to hear this, was it the "star tunnel" music?, or something completely different?

Any voice work on top of that? Given that all the other attractions have voice cues, if it is just ambient through the mountain, then it may just be temporary. Or have voicework added over it later, when it might change closer to SM's opening.

Wishful thinking anyway, guess I should have known startunnel would be removed a long time ago...

Ooooooh....This is interesting. Perhaps we ARE getting trackside, at least.

Completely different, and had some little sound effects to it. It sounded like a re-arranged, bass-heavy version of the "music" that's always played in the load area. Picture the sounds that have always been there, but with the kind of thumping score you think John Williams would write for an approaching space ship of dubious intentions. Best I can do. I'm hoping it doesn't mean the end of Star Tunnel, though.

No voice work. There were people calling out track sections over the loud speaker for train tests, though.

Also, let me emphasize that the area where Star Tunnel usually played on the TTA is still quiet (though you can hear the other music there, just because it's silent). The new music is played in the area where the curtains are blocking the view of the queue area.

I would have liked to ride it again to get a better listen, but I was with a friend who had other things she wanted to do. I didn't want to make her do the TTA over and over again. If I get a chance, I might try and record it if no one beats me to it.

Also, I was told (as a guest, so I feel I can share this) that there MAY be soft openings soon (I was given a specific date, but don't want to give that much detail). Think "before the exterior is actually done" soon. If I'm there for one, I will share info.

Thanks Mansion Butler! Seems like things are coming together!

If anyone is interested I MIGHT do an opening day report.

I will be at Magic Kingdom for park opening on the 22nd, so I'll be doing an opening day report from my twitter: twitter.com/livewdwupdates

If anyone sees me report anything good, feel free to post it here. I won't have enough time to post on the actual forums from my iPhone, but anyone is welcome to quote, post, or whatever of my updates.

Also... this update is sounding very mysterious. Maybe we will be getting track side audio, as least for the lift hill.
