I cannot imagine it will not get new cars.
The track will be updated to the 21st century plus they are suppose to have sound.
It's not to early to think about that, this stuff has been planned for a couple years at least.
I guess its all been pretty hush but knowing how things get out I'm sure we will see a prototype drawing soon.

Why don't the make the cars look like the Cars from Pixar's Cars? :animwink:
I'm sure the Imagineers can find a way to make it work. Plus, that way WDW can find another attraction to re-theme around Pixar...

For many of the reason Lee has already stated obviously, but i think that RHCP has such a unique market, it didnt work with the masses in that situation. Lets be honest, everyone from your parents to kids of today have heard a Aerosmith song (and most like it/them) while a small percentage know RHCP material and i would think that they arent the best type music for general "background music".DL's SM music sux (imo), id rather hear the rickety cars roll over the rusty track, at least that sound instills fear in me!
the other music just irritates me same with California screaming, omg the 1st time i road it it was with the chilli peppers (the vocal defination of california), but then I road it 6 months or so later, and they had some bo bo carnival music that just made the ride seam slow and boring. I didn't even wanna ride it ne more i was so depressed. I mean RnRC has aerosmith, they paid for it they own it they use it, they paid the peppers so why not keep it perfect? Even space mountains was better (although not much)
Why didn't they leave it with the peppers WHY!???

The Cars overlay should go to the Indy. Speedway. For SM a Meet the Robinsons overlay would be a better fit.:lookaroun:ROFLOL:

I know an Imagineer going to be working on the Space mountain refurb in the summer. I got some inside info that the cars are not going to be changed just like re-painted to his knowledge. Also the man reason for the refurb is the addition of the single rider line and the loading bay.

o yea they are also fixing the launch because it was to loud and peoples ears were hurting, so the launch is going to be quieter. The chain that lifts u up is also going to be fixed to be made quieter as well.

I wish they could add side by side seating! The Line would move much faster and you wont feel lonley.It will also be easier to put onboard audio.Its kinda dangerous that 5 year olds that ride have to ride by themselvs.They should be able to rede with an adult. But if that happns they would have to make the blue tunnel bigger.It would be better for people for all sides.

The single seating is what makes SM great. SM is not a huge nor a fast coaster and if you added double wide seating I really feel that effect of soaring wildly thru space would be greatly reduced. It is great when you feel like you are by yourself flying thru space.
I do understand the concern about kids. When my DD went on her first SM ride I sat behind her and I was in a complete panic that she may freak during the ride. She sceamed non-stop thru the entire ride and when we got to the unload zone I asked if she was ok and she asked to ride again.
