There is that one I saw on a Robb Alvey report from either Europe or some park in Asia where it was a duplicate of DL. Even down to MS:USA. Granted, I dont think that is the park that had the SM clone (name only) but it was a P.O.S. from what I remember.Hundreds? You sure?
Name five.
This is off subject but,
I get my braces off tomorrow!!!!!!!! Yay!!!
It's gonna be super smooth!!!!!!!!!!
:wave::wave::wave::wave::wave:
And it's the last day of school!!!!
Hundreds? You sure?
Name five.
Nope, that's not gonna happen.Do you think they will turn the WDW SM into a SM mission 2? Just like the DisneyLand Resort Paris one? That is awsome by the way!
Well, the SM Homepage at Ultimate Orlando has a list of copycats but I don't agree with most of his choices.

Exactly. How can CyberSpace Mountain (a spiritual successor) and Rock 'n' RollerCoaster be counted as copycats of the original? If a coaster is in the dark, it's not necessarily a SM clone -- it's like saying every coaster with tubular track is a Matterhorn ripoff.
Well I don't think anyone is saying rip offs for most of them(although those rides like those pictures are a really poor attempt at capturing the spirit) everything is inspired by the first success in a sense.
So yes, you could say that RnR and other indoor coasters were inspired by either their own good concepts or other good ones.
Matterhorn was the first tubular track coaster, and therefore others went to the same design of steel after. Just like Space Mt was the first (or at least the most popular) to prove that a coaster in the darkness adds an extra thrill. Also computer systems were first in use there.
So yes.....I know these are all semantics but...it is true.
"One little spark, of inspiration, is at the heart...of all creation"
Enough of this superfluous banter ... I want to see some ladder pics!!!

Of course there is this...
How about a circus-themed SM?
Alright you got me. Everyone wanted to see pics of the new SM? Here it is:
The New Trains:
Updated Queue:
New Lift Hill Scene:
Redone Interior:
We even get new effects - Asteroids!
 Don't be too harsh on WDW's SM. Compared to these pics ours is state-of-the-art!
If you wanna see the rest of the pics, you can find it at RCDB:

Oh, yeah...Disney builds a much nicer Space Mountain....rolleyes:

I dunno. I dont think those pictures look THAT horrendous.

Excuse me, Lee, but our SM has that asteroid/cookie projection across the ceiling. Definitely much more sophisticated than the rocks on strings.
:lookaroun

Aside form the first picture thats exactly what i was thinking.
I mean what do you expect...its a machine not an operating room.
:brick:
Do a search for the Alton Towers ride The Black Hole. Closed now, but a typically British cheap-as-chips rip off. They even made it Victorian retro-future when DLPs version opened. There is that one I saw on a Robb Alvey report from either Europe or some park in Asia where it was a duplicate of DL. Ok, there is 1. and maybe one more somewhere, but that is about it.
