News Space Mountain exit being worked on

Every time I click in on this thread, I’m reminded of a cool story our family experienced this summer. We were in line for people Mover, (yes it was one of those kind of days) and had the pleasure of visiting with a gentleman who is loving life with autism. He made it clear to us that the people mover was a fine ride, but he was in line to ride the moving sidewalk that takes you to and from the ride. He let us know how disappointed he was that they were working on the sidewalk at space mountain... we then got quite an education on all of the places in the parks (some we didnt even think twice about before) that have moving sidewalks. It was so cool to hear how excited he was to Ride rides, not for the rides themselves but for the little things around the rides...
I can’t help but think about how disappointed he may be to find this information out. I guess he can mark SM off his must do list!
Just thought I would share our cute little story!

To be honest, that's a perfect story of how many people still enjoy stuff for the little things.

Does this mean we’ll be walking up that same hill without the speed ramp, or is the current exit going to become the permanent exit? (Surely not, since they have to have cast members stand at the railroad tracks the whole day).

Rear path is temporary. Lots of chatter.... favourite is an enlarged ramp / stair area where the TV sets used to be with an exit next to the entrance. And all walking.

I won’t post a verdict until it’s confirmed. But be ready, TDO.

Anyone know why this principle worked for so long but potentially doesn't anymore?

Anything to with the accessibility? Will they be installing an elevator?
