Side note: the screens which used to hold games now have visuals displaying different nebulas and their information.

Also, the controls for the games have been removed, and the railings have been replaced with standard tube rails.

The space station projection in the queue has been updated. Now, when the "Space Race" event happens in the Play Disney app, rockets will fly out of the space station with various colors of body and trail. Users are told their rocket color and trail, and can watch their rocket race around the space station. At the end, a finish line appears. After all rockets have passed it, users are informed of their place in the race as well as their rocket "speed."

Rocket speed is established and upgraded through minigames and codes found throughout the attraction.

The space race happens every ~10 minutes, with no additional sound effects to accompany it, so there's no distractions for guests who wish to ignore it.

I actually like the queue more now that the games are gone. Feels more...spacey and less like a daycare center. I do hope they do something interesting with the massive screens with only stars on them (seen straight ahead):

Are the TV screens in load new? I probably overlooked them from my past visits....

Also, I wondered what was going around the space station, that's pretty neat.

I like that a whole lot better than the games.
This looks a lot more Space Mountain-y.

Slight armchair engineering, but if the exit does end up being permanently moved from the gift shop, I think it would be interesting if they converted the building back to an arcade (Flynn's Arcade to be specific) and added a rear entrance to pass through to the Tron ride. Then you'd be passing through the game in the arcade to get to the ride (sorta like the wall in Diagon Alley).
