Souvenirs

If you could only buy two souveniers from Walt Disney World, what would these two souveniers be?

I would have to get a kimono from Japan (because they are beautiful) and a Tigger shirt (because he's the only one). Great combination, right? What would you pick?

I think I would pick a pair of Mickey ears and a snowglobe to add to my collection. But I'd be in trouble if I could really only pick TWO!!

There's a huge wooden Mickey in the collectibles shop at the Marketplace...it sells for $8,000...give me one of those please.

And I remember seeing a HUGE castle made from hand blown glass on Main Street with Cinderella's coach and horses....I'll take one of those please. $5,000+

Now...where the hell do I put them? :)

I'd have to get a t-shirt from EPCOT and an onride photo from Splash Mountain (the only ride I haven't gotten one from yet)

First I would get a big group of friends to go to Disney with me. Then I would buy whatever two ride photos I like. That's because my family kicks butt at finding those odd little things to do when they take their picture. I wish I could have these past photos:

Me waving my shoe in the air on Test Track
and
My group pointing in the opposite direction on Dinosaur.

:p :p :p :p :p

Only two? Darn! Well, if I was only able to get two they would have to be an Eeyore t-shirt and a new watch. I buy a new watch every year from the parks.:D

What I'd like to have is one of those cool Haunted Mansion poster prints. I think I'll pick mine up when I visit the parks in October.

If I could have ANY souvenier, I would have to say that I would want a miniature version of each park. Sure, they have a toy train monorail, but I want a complete miniature park. I've always wanted something like this, but have never seen anything like it. Wouldn't a Micro Machines-size series of theme park rides be cool? Of course, they'd have to make it modular so you can keep things up-to-date.

Barring that, I wish they'd make those oversize maps of the entire Disney property again....

I would have to get one of those too and the model of the contemporary for our monorail. :)

I wonder why Disney and LEGO haven't yet put out WDW LEGO sets. (There is Disney LEGOS for little kids, but they're not of the parks) I used to be a LEGO fanatic and have been wishing for something like this since I was young. There could be a set for each attraction and you could connect the ones you have together to build an entire park.

I've always wanted a whip from the Indiana Jones Stunt Show souvenir stand set up outside. The last few trips I went to search for it and it wasn't there. I think it was illegal to sell there or something because it is a weapon (the tips had metal beads, deadly). As my second I'd go with my monorail set and a few expansion track sets.

I would have to get the glass blown castle from Arribas Bros. on Main Street. I love walking in that shop. And the model monorail I keep seeing at the Polynesian

I would buy

A bronze cast of the "Partners" statue in MK.

A full set of crockery, that could be magically transported home without having to worry about it on the plane.

I would buy a CD with the music of the parks.

Another souvenir would be probably a t-shirt or a book with pics and information about the parks, so I can remember my trip even more but I am not sure... only two is too hard!

Walt Disney World golf shirt: $35.00
Mickey Ears (embroidered): $12.00
Memories: Priceless

There are some things you can't buy. For everything else, there's the Disney credit card :D

Retro wave

A year after, I would like to know if you all got:

-the kimono
-mickey ears and snowglobe
-the onride pic of Splahs Mountain
-the photo with the shoe in the air and the group pointing on the opposite direction (lol)
-eeyore t-shirt and new watch
-the glass carriage and the castle
-the haunted mansion poster
-the model of the contemporary
-the monorail
-the Indiana Jones whip (for whatever purposes... hehe)
-the monorail set
-the bronze "Partners" statue
-the golf t-shirt
-the cells from the 40´s and 50´s

I haven´t gone back, so I haven´t got what I wanted a year ago, and I still think I would pick those. I would probably add a Disney trivia book that I forgot to buy!
:animwink:

What would YOU get? :)
