Sounds Like Summer and LOEMH canceled?

I saw on another board that the Sounds like Summer concerts at Epcot, and the Little Ones EMH at MK/MGM has been canceled. Is this true?

EMH= Extra Magic Hours ... these are for guests staying at Disney property hotels and get to either enter the park early or stay longer than guests who aren't staying on property ... the concert series is "permanently closed" according to the employee website ... I find no mention of the Little Ones EMH closing

It's odd that the Playhouse Disney concerts have been cancelled because the park always seemed much busier when they were on

Nah, it's just fun when it's like that. No worries, I thought the same thing here to with a picture of the EMH with his blue trimmed uniform on again, haha. All we need now is a quote from the big episode that was his as the major character, "Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy." I have hilarious memories from that episode :lol: .

If true, that is a shame. My family loved the LOEMH the past two years. My son got to ride Peter Pan with Wendy and my daughter got to play duck-duck-goose with Peter Pan. Both very magical moments.

On our first trip to WDW, my son became hooked on Disney when just before our ride on the carousel began, Goofy hoped on and rode right next to us. Goofy has been our favorite ever since.

Why did they get dropped? I have a guess, but it's only a guess.

These promotions were intended to attract additonal traffic from the pre-school family demographic to the resort during Hurricane season. I'm guessing that, while the activies were very popular with those that did come, there wasn't a large-enough increase in "new business" in that demographic over prior years. If they aren't driving new business, no reason to spend money keeping them going.

Do you have any pictures of that you could post? I LOVED LOEMH! Most of the cast seemed to love it as well...at least the ones I talked to. Although, some mornings, Wendy was less than thrilled to be up so early. One morning, during hide and seek with Peter and Wendy, she found a hiding place with a little girl that was quite hidden. I followed them to capture candid photos. Wendy kept chastising me for being near them because Peter would find them if he saw me. Read: I'll actually have to work rather than just sit here and chat with this lovely child.

I hid with them as well so as not to give away the location.

Those LOEMH created such magical moments for the children. Instead of waiting in line for 30 minutes to visit your favorite character for 2 minutes, you spent 2 minutes waiting to play with your favorite character for 30 minutes.
