I think you are refferring to my thread. Sounds Dangerous will only be closed because of a meet and greet for Star Wars Weekends. According to the disneyworld.com calendar, it will be open Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in June and will return to normal operation in July. Its not permanently closing. Apparently Disney did this last year as well.

Everyone should see Sounds Dangerous at least once, if only to revel in its suckitude and to say, "Truly, I have stared death in the face, and yet emerged triumphant."
:lookaroun

See it for the camp value, and to have empathy for your fellow travellers.

I'm one of only 7 people on the plant that actually enjoy this attraction. I guess I'm just a sucker for binural audio. And now this is the only worthwhile attraction that WDW that features it.

I never liked that show. I want it gone so bad. I liked the one before that when they had guest make sound effects.

I am so intrigued by this statement that I may actually have to visit it while I'm at MGM. Maybe being just after the last Star Wars Weekend, the Force will still be hanging around to make the show better? :lookaroun

I think the only reason I've ever actually gone back to see Sounds Dangerous is when I need to sit in the AC.

make it 8 people. i too enjoy it and would miss it when its gone.

9. This attraction gets such a bad rap for no good reason. I find it very enjoyable and a good way to spend 15 minutes or so. I'll be honest, I think it's a better attraction than Rock n' Rollercoaster or Tower of Terror (yes, I really do). What it needs is a preshow and postshow rehab, some new seats, and some new headsets. There's nothing wrong with the show itself. But then I like Drew Carey and Ann Magnussen.

I don't hate it, but I don't think it's worthwhile either. It just adds to the masses of space that's not used or inappropriately used at DMGM.

Drew Carey is as funny as cancer. The attraction is old and has no point. Even the part afterwords with you re-recording Mickey's audio.

Worst Attraction Ever (oh other then Stitch and Peter Pan.)

Horrible

I think Sounds Dangerous is worse then Stitch but better then Monsters. If Stitch only had the pre-show robot and he interactively told lame jokes while I sat in a theater in the dark it would be the mac daddy of all lame attractions.

I'll never understand all the hatred for Stitch's Great Escape (or Stitch, for that matter) or Sounds Dangerous, but whatever. I think LMA is the worst attraction at Disney World, followed closely by that pathetic Narnia walkthrough, and Test Track. Others love them. Different strokes. Everyone should try every attraction at least once, though. If you don't like it, you don't have to do it again (believe me, I'll never do LMA again! If I'm desperate I MIGHT do the other two). But don't take anyone's word on this board for anything. You might end up liking something others dumped on, or vice versa.

The attractions aren't that bad, but the hatred of them comes from the fact that they don't measure up to what was there before. Sounds Dangerous is a step back from the sound show, as is Stitch from AE. I reckon that if SD had have opened on a new plot, it would be better accepted. But MGM needs all the attractions it can get anyway, and SD is a good break from the heat.
