It's time to turn the space used for Sounds Dangerous over to something new
It's a great place to cool off, rest your feet and take nap. :lookarounWe missed SD on our visit to MGM last year...is it worth the time?
:veryconfu
The attractions aren't that bad, but the hatred of them comes from the fact that they don't measure up to what was there before. Sounds Dangerous is a step back from the sound show, as is Stitch from AE. I reckon that if SD had have opened on a new plot, it would be better accepted. But MGM needs all the attractions it can get anyway, and SD is a good break from the heat.
I'm one of only 7 people on the plant that actually enjoy this attraction. I guess I'm just a sucker for binural audio. And now this is the only worthwhile attraction that WDW that features it.
I'm very torn on my feelings for SD. I go to WDW twice per year and I'd say that I go on SD about every other year (roughly one out of every 4 visits.) On the one hand, I realize that it's an extremely sucky attraction and desperately needs to be replaced. On the other hand, I am a HUGE fan of Drew Carey and the Drew Carey show (which is extremely hard to find on tv these days and isn't available on DVD to my knowledge, which sucks). My bizarre and strictly heterosexual admiration for Drew Carey causes me to pay tribute to this horridly bad show every now and then.
Everyone should see Sounds Dangerous at least once, if only to revel in its suckitude and to say, "Truly, I have stared death in the face, and yet emerged triumphant."

See it for the camp value, and to have empathy for your fellow travellers.
Again, I disagree, but that's okay. I know a lot of people thought Alien Encounter was great. I wasn't one of them. SIR and Skippy were enjoyable, but the show itself was a tremendous waste of my time. It was all about killing and death, and I'm sorry, that's just not what Tomorrowland should represent to me. Maybe in the Studios it might have been okay (with an alien that didn't look like just a dummy on a revolving stick).
The Monster Sound Show was fine, but honestly I don't think it was any better or worse than Sounds Dangerous. Sorry, I just don't get it.
Home theater systems have become so common that SD is pretty much a waste of time.
