And, in my opinion, for the most part, the parks are selling...its the dreaded movies that have bit the big one over the last 7 years or so and instead of admitting "I don't know what the hell I'm doing" Eisner deflects and buys out ABC ESPN? He has to use an outside company like Pixar to create a hit for him? I mean, this makes no sense. Your concerned about your distribution channels more when you really should be focusing on your product...i.e. it sucks. All these sequels are appalling from a creative standpoint. Just come up with something good...even if its every 3 years. Why is that so bad? Why do we have to churn out trash every 6 months? Its just a joke right now, their entertainment division....I'm sorry, I have no sympathy for people that don't see the problems with Eisner's leadership in that area. And guess what, 43% of people out there agree. That's huge.
Finally we can agree on something.
When I started this discussion, I wasn't addressing the problems listed above. (Although I completely agree with all of it.) It just seemed that people were always negative about how the parks are now. Even there I'll grant that everything isn't perfect. But when my family and I come home from WDW we can't wait to get back. Not once have we had a bad experience. From the sound of it we may be lucky. We have been to parks here in NY that should probably be condemned.
While I would love to have the perfect parks all the time, I think that I will take MKBurns15's advice and "Wish upon a star."
Maybe someday we can all have the WDW we want. Until then I hope that everyone enjoys the parks, and keeps writing here about their experiences. With all of us wishing together maybe the problems above will also be fixed.
Just to get back to the original post, I like the Hat.
