He freaks me out a little. Not the most relaxing place to sit.And he is why I always eat outside! Can't stand him

I only did the charging station when my portable charger was deadI couldn't believe how enthralled my then 18 month old was with him last April - (kept her totally entertained while I called hubby to check on our other daughter who was ill). I thought for sure he would freak her out but I had to go there for the charging station they had at the time... I hear they took that out??? Thought that was a great idea but I guess I'll just have to fork up the money for a portable charger this time
He is on the Tomorrowland Terrace stage, which would allow for performers to rise from below for their shows. That explains it. I couldn't imagine it would take months to get Sonny back to work. So bummed though. BTW, what does an elevator lift have to do with Sonny?

To move (lower) him when they use his stage for other events.
Back in my day (the early 90's), that stage used to have actual bands perform on it. I remember seeing Starship perform!
Oh lol Of course! I missed the "lift" part and was just thinking of a plain old elevator. I was having trouble making sense of that.
I think it still is.
Old video, but Sonny rises up when they need to use the stage.
And a bit of trivia, Sonny has an "I'm going on break" spiel when the stage needs to rise and an intro spiel when he comes back.

well that's something I wasn't aware of... cool - thanks for sharing
The Space Angels have always been there. They are just invisible. Would be great if they added some animated backdrop or other elements to add to the presentation of the show. LIke actually take us to Yew Nork or a trip around the solar system.Love, love, love Sonny! I wish they'd add background singers for him!
They used that stage too for a couple Grad Nite performances. In the summer of 1995 we had a Latin cover band perform there three times a day. The guests would be amazed at the stage elevator. The band is already starting the opening number at the tunnel level, then it goes up and they are already performing.Back in my day (the early 90's), that stage used to have actual bands perform on it. Two. Think of Sonny as being on the top of the "elevator" with the band stage underneath.Ooooooh... So there is in fact 3 stages? 1) the Sonny stage, 2) the band stage, 3) the resting stage (nothing) ?
Really? Maybe for private events, but I've never seen a band perform on that stage since when it was open to the public once they put Sonny in.
