Trip Report Sometimes going halfway is a good thing - Max's Hong Kong Adventure

Hello All and welcome to another Max Trip Report
IMG_6282.JPG

This one is solo - sans family - as it was a quick stop at a new park for me
Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL) opened in 2005 and has slowly been growing into itself
Initial feedback on HKDL was too small and not enough to do.
As you will see in this brief stop I had plenty to do (and actually did not accomplish everything I wanted to do)

Who: Max , aka Clarence to those who read my Cali report recently.
What: HKDL for a day and a bit
When: Friday Oct 6and Saturday Oct 7
Why: A Disney park I have not been to AND my company was sending me back to Japan so I detoured at the start of the business trip to catch this gem of a park.

Up next: Intercontinental travel !!

Max

Both Tokyo and Japan have something like this
A large display outside of the entrance to the park
An obvious picture taking magnet
I am trying to equate it to the NA parks
Perhaps the old CALIFORNIA letters outside of DCA?
I cannot remember if Paris had something similar
@Laurenciaa or @Songbird76 might be able to help me out

There is a fountain before the entrance of the Disneyland Park but no statues.. However just behind the entrance on Disney Studios there are some statues and a fountain. This one is prettier though ;)

All caught up! I'll be sure to show Dylan the golf pictures... he will love them! His goal is to golf in every state and as many countries as possible. Very lofty. but I'm sure he'll at least put a dent in it. ;)

Loved reading about your Hong Kong experience... really looking forward to reading about Shanghai!

I like his golfing goal
So far I have golfed in 3 provinces, 3 states and 2 foreign countries (USA and Japan).
I have not done a pure golfing trip yet (hard to believe) but might have one in my future.

Thanks again for sharing your trip, I really enjoyed reading it. I am just a little bit (translation Super incredibly) jealous that you now have been to all the Asian parks.
I am just OK (translation over the moon freaky pumped) that I have been to all the parks now!!

Thanks for taking the time to finish this up around a very busy work schedule. Looking foward to Shanghai!
Thank you for appreciating that I finished it up
I have been slacking lately though - returned home on Sat Dec 9 and I have struggled to get back to normal
And we had visitors from Japan come over last week ( see next TR for more details!!)

Great trip report!! I'm looking forward to the next one!!
Thank you for reading and I will get the next one started soon
I have a very busy Christmas break at work to deal with ( hoping to get 25,26 and Jan 1 off)

Thank you for sharing your TR! I love the most recent parade pictures--gorgeous!! Most of us will probably never get to go there, so it's fun to see the park through your trip.
Glad that I can provide some fun

That tree on the golf course is magnificent.
Thank you so much for noticing
When I saw it I thought it looked like a fully grown bansai tree !!!

I enjoyed going halfway with you!
I am glad we only went halfway
This way we do not have to explain ourselves to Woody!!!;)

The Mickey surfing is a cool statue for sure!

Great report Max! I'm not a golfer but really enjoyed the pictures from the golf course - looks so peaceful.

Looking forward to your Shanghai report:)
If only it didn't rain so much!!

But a rainy day of golf with great friends is always better than a sunny day at work!

Awesome TR Max! I enjoyed your pics, and I'm looking forward to your Shanghai adventure.
Thank you so much - I went even more picture happy at Shanghai!!

I just shared your golf course pictures with my husband (who loves to golf) and he thought the course looked nice. He said,"That looks like a course here in Wisconsin, except for the mountains." :hilarious::joyfull:
And my home is just like Newport Beach without the expensive house, great weather, sandy beach, ocean.........

Thanks for your report Max. Highly unlikely that I'll ever get there so I really enjoyed your photos!
Thanks for following along
Probably more pics in the next one!

Great report! That’s probably as close as I’ll ever come to experiencing Disney overseas  Thanks for sharing!
Never say never!!!!

Max

I think the parade photos were just fine!

Never saw a 4 seater gold cart. thanks for the report and looking forward to your Shanghai one!

EEK! Love your trip reports!!!
