something I overheard...

There are too many people looking for someone to blame for their stupidity or sue because they are careless. If I allowed it my students would blame spelling errors on their pencils! A grown man that sticks his hand anywhere near a horse's mouth is acting like the other end of said horse!!:p

5 weeks 1 day until the "yellow limo" is ºoºrlando bound (school bus 27 teens:hammer: )

LOL well said.

If that was me, and I got hurt despite the sign, I wouldn't want no free passes, all that I would ask is that Disney pay my medical bills... I don't think thats too much to ask.

Was this around the holidays? Maybe I'm crazy but I seem to remember seeing Clydesdales in the parade at MVMCP.

I'm just glad he didn't sue. Order hot coffee at McDonald's, you might get burned. Stick your hand in a horses mouth.....hmmmm. Sounds like famous last words - "hey kids...watch this!"

Maybe he was not familar with horse types and it was a disney horse. not every person is a horse expert but most know the diffence between samu and mickey.
The sad thing is that people will ask cast members where Shamu is. The best response I've ever heard was "You leave this park, and follow signs to I-4. Then follow the signs to Sea World."

...the people insisted that Shamu was in WDW, not Sea World...:hammer:

Most of the time, I agree with you... but in this instance, I don't.

One of the big problems in this country is that most people don't want to take responsibility of their actions and want to blame someone else. It's a shame that people can't use common sense and then get upset that they are not rewarded for being stupid.

Sorry... but that's the way I see it.

I completely agree!

... But maybe there was more to the story?

This is exactly what the problem is.... you can probably end the discussion right here.

Was it Disney?... or another park?
Was it a horse?
Was the guy an idiot and did something he shouldn't have?... spook the animal, maybe?

Do you really think that all Disney would have done is comp the persons admission for three days for something like this?!?... I don't think so. And if they did, who was the fool that accepted it?... then went off ing and moaning about it?

I hate people who don't pay attention to the entire story in the first place... then go about twisting it around and re-telling it their own way.

My advice?... Don't do her hair anymore!! :D

Let's all remember...

...that most guests leave their brains home when they go to any theme park. I remember being told during CRO training at Ft Wilderness (1990) they had only one aligator problem since opening when queried by a co-trainee. A kid lost his arm (or part of it) when he went over to pet an aligator that he and his mother assumed must be an audio animatronic. I don't know about you, but at least I'd throw a few rocks and poke it with a long stick to give me better odds if I were contemplating touching the thing.

I generally resist touching anything bigger than me that breathes. Good rule to live by.

Ah, there but for the grace of God go I.

Nope, not Clydesdales...see:

You know, worse than I discussing known stupidity of guests, this whole discussion is based on an overheard conversation outside of the park, so it could have been just bravado on the part of the speaker.

It's not like we haven't heard anything else exaggerated around these parts
