Trip Report Some people are worth melting for - A Max Trip Report

To all that come to this happy place, Welcome!

Some people (and places) are worth melting for - Florida in late May /early June to visit Disney World is one of those places

Yes - it is time to head south again - this time it is just Tricia and I. We need time to de-stress from a very busy few months because...

Cassie and Shane got married!!! On May 4th!!! - May the Force be with you!!

We did a similar getaway in November 2019 after my older daughter Stephanie's wedding

(Yes - both daughters are married and moved out - the nest is empty!!)

Trip Details:

Monday May 29 - Sunday June 4
Yacht Club
Flying from Toronto Canada
4 days at the parks - not visiting on the travel days or on Thursday June 1)
Plan is to do my first round of golf (only 9 holes) on June 1
Goal is to ride Tron at least once and try to do GOG again - but otherwise rides are not the priority

I so enjoyed this Trip Report from beginning to end! Loved all the meet ups, the ride commentary especially from GOTG, and your beautiful Yacht Club pictures. I can't wait until the next one although I'm still trying to figure out what your riddle means? I'll be heading to WDW the end of October and then back again the beginning of December so if you're around then, I'd love to do a meet up with you and Tricia! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us.

Loved this report Max especially all the meet ups. I wish the Yacht Club Hotel was not so expensive for us UK visitors as your photos show how beautiful it is and we would love to stay there. Thanks again for sharing your adventures.

You shared some really good photos, too. (By the way, I like that you included some from the new Swan Reserve. Think I still prefer the Swan though, especially for the more convenient location.)

Every time I "see" the opportunity for a great /epic / once in a lifetime type of picture I think about you and about how it is a shame that you are not standing beside me taking the picture instead of me.

I know I will try to capture it but know that you would do it better.

Just to be clear - it ain't cheap for me either!!! - the Canadian dollar is only worth $.75 US - but we spoil ourselves when we go - and pay the bills when we get home!!

It took months of prep and communication to arrange the meet ups - the time and place were sometimes spontaneous but we all knew that we were going to be there and wanted to meet in person - if you leave it up to chance you will walk away empty handed!

As opposed to a fake miniature golf course?

What i meant to say was it was a smaller (artifical turf) version of an actual golf course. The distances to the hole were much shorter, you only used a putter, but you felt like you were truly on a golf hole, planning your tee shot, avoiding sand traps, reading the break of the green , etc

This is opposed to ramps, bumpers, windmills, volcanos, hanging 4x4 wood lumber that you swing to block the hole, clowns, etc.

And as usual, loved your trip report and I'll say it again, but would have loved to be able to meet up with you guys!

Tricia and I have booked a 2.5 week trip to Japan to see her brother/SIL and her family (that stayed with us in May)
We leave on Nov 7 and come back on Nov 25.
We will start on their west coast and travel east across the country and end up in Tokyo for the last few days
We are planning on 2 days at TDR - maybe 3 - details are still being finalized.

I will do a TR for the Disney portion but will add in the other details of the Japan trip if people are interested.
