Any ideas/knowledge as to why no inversions? Not even a corkscrew?
I'm so disappointed, but I know I'll ride it anyway and be grateful for a new ride at AK!

Why does it need one? It is in essence a Mine Train coaster, just like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (and that certainly doesn't need an inversion to make it a fantastic ride). Plus E:E is meant to have launches and forward/backward sections... and just look at that drop coming out of the mountain. If it launches you down that, you are going to get some serious airtime!

AND... you'll have lapbars, so you'll have an unrestricted view of all around you (watch out for that Yeti! :) )

I can't wait to ride this ride in 2 years. It will be so awsome. But pics don't do justice. See it in person, the track is huge!

But this will be Vekoma's best ride yet. No obstructions of view, outside track wheels, a nice good sized drop. (really small compared to many other coasters) These are the same reason also why The Mummy at Universal is so good.

Plus, it will be the first coaster at WDW to be taller than SpaceMountain...

E:E is supposed to be a train ride into the mountains. Train tracks don't have inversions so Disney kept true to that. Although the story of the ride will be fictional, the Imagineers seemed to have kept some reality in the show presentation.

As opposed to the reality of the theme/story line of MGM's RnRC? When was the last time you went upside down in a limo? :animwink:
Don't get me wrong - I do see your point, and I'm sure the lack of inversions on EE won't even be noticed. All I'm saying is I think WDW could spare a loop or two here and there. After all, out of all of the rides, in 4 theme parks, only one has inversions. I'm not a coaster snob or purist, I was just hoping for a little bigger thrill on the hill. That backwards section sounds thrilling and I'm sure I won't be disappointed. Disney Imagineers rock!
So not to worry - it will not spoil my devotion to all things Disney. I am an AP holder and I will continue to go to WDW as often as possible and enjoy every minute of every ride and attraction (well, maybe not IASWAA :hammer: ).

Would you rather be wearing over the shoulder restraints? And if that were the case the viewing angle would be much less and the big drop would practially become useless because airtime isn't that good with overheads. And plus, with Vekoma's record, for each year the coaster is, the roughness gets multiplied by 2.

Maybe it's me....but all I see is one shot of Everest and a bunch of ads.
Is it me?

I dunno what you're talking about Lee. Any chance you could explain? I just checked out my photos, and I don't see anything wrong with them.

great pics. thanks keep them coming....Does anybody know is WDW did/or is going to put up a web cam of E:E so we can check the progress on a daily basis, I remember Cedar Point did this when they built Top Thrill Dragster, and people went crazy. They would litteraly sit and watch the screen update every 60 sec. it was crazy!

In fact there IS one updated every seconds (looks like an almost live camera) but the URL only works from a Disney intranet. It was made for WDI.

There are also webcams pointing to every current constructions, such as Soarin, Space Mountain and Buzz in California, and the Stunt Show. Too bad they don't let the public connect to them :(

Yep. That did it.
Apparently my computer is under attack from vicious adware from around the world. Getting on my last nerve.
