Some Info I Came Across

....Apparently there's been a second expansion beyond Crush n' Gusher which has been in the works for a very long time. Although the project's not been green lit at this time, hopes are high that with continued good attendance at the water parks, management will see the benefits of adding greater capacity to the park most easily expanded....it would be to the west of Crush n' Gusher, in an area referred to as the Boneyard by CMs.
:sohappy: Great to hear TL is getting some love. Hope that whatever is next there will be just as successful as Crush n' Gusher!

We are currently looking at the possibility of implementing a system where each on-site guest receives a Magic Pass for each night they spend in a Disney Resort hotel. So if a guest stays at the Pop Century Resort from Monday through Wednesday, then each day they go to the parks, they have one Magic Pass to spend. So what is a Magic Pass? A Magic Pass is a fastpass... but a fastpass you can spend on any attraction of your choice. Think a one-time Dream Pass. These would be embedded in your RFID card.
Perhaps I missed something before...the RFID card would be what again?
And the Magic Pass sounds like a pretty cool idea! It is nice to have a second FP with your park pass.

And for those of you who think you've got all the scoop on the Magic Kingdom's future changes from the Fantasyland blueprints circulating on the web... well think again. Although I did tell you in May that the Magic Kingdom would see its borders expanded for the first time in 20 years, the blueprints are not all that's coming to the most visited theme park in the world.
 Good job on whetting so many appetites on this one. Sounds promising! :sohappy:

Could the expansion of TL be the proposed POTC water park?
Considering that there is so much detailed places in the films, you would think that it begs for a more spacious park for themselves.
But maybe it can fit with TL as well, should it keep the castaway/island theme....Jack's Rum Port or the Black Pearl, anyone? :lookaroun

EDIT: 1000 Posts!!! :sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

I wonder what the TL expansion could be??? I'd like to see crush and gusher taken to the next level. Make something a lot longer that goes in and outside, through caves, maybe with a POTC theme.

I'm on it.

Wasn't it also you that had the discussion of the $30 million E-Ticket in Epcot? Has anything more come of that?
*prays the 30 Mil graces a glass pyramid or two.*:lookaroun

What is RFID?

A interactive system where you can interact with things based on a chip you hold on your person.

Goodness that was botched. Run a Google search, it'll be much more informative than that!

Supposedly, the Indy Speedway is being demolished for the Fantasyland expansion...

Or that TRON is coming there as a mini-land...

Think they were wishful-thinking type of rumor.

Hmm, I have to admit I'm very skeptical on any of this. It does seem like too much of a time warp back to redis. Not to mention "Magic Pass" (a term that seems awful familiar to me :lookaroun , not to mention Kevin Yee just did an article on it) is nothing new. Also, just about anyone could guess that the FL plans that we have seen are not the current plans that may or may not be announced this fall.

Not saying it's not true but this info has all been discussed before.

I don't see them demo'ing indy speedway. Its way to popular of a ride for the little ones. It still gets long lines and draws the crowds. You can guarantee the line for the speedway will always be longer than SGE!

OK here goes MHO. I have gokarts in my sucky hometown and I assume that everyone else has a place that has them near by to them too, I am probably wrong tho. So, why not get rid of indy speedway and put up two more rides. And, really they could just move them to one of the mini golf courses, they may get more visitors that way. But, oh well these are just my thoughts.

One very simple reason. The go carts are one of the most popular attractions in all of WDW. If you were to follow the same logic why don't they just rip down space mountain after all I have a rollercoaster in my sucky hometown and then put up two more rides. And, really they could just move space mountain to one of the mini golf courses, they may get more visitors that way.

God, I hope that it isn't Tron.
If it's about an area of the FL expansion that we haven't seen, I would wish for:
1) An e-ticket ride based around Mickey...it would be cool to get to meander through Steamboat Willie, The Band Concert, Fantasia, The Runaway Brain, etc on an Omnimover...or a system more advanced:slurp:
Ah well, even if it's based on Mickey it will probably end being more of a Donald Duck attraction. (YES, I am still peeved that Disney had the nerve to name it Mickey's Philharmagic...draw the people in with the mouse and hand 'em the duck...I still love the show though:drevil:)
This ride could empty out into Mickey's house and the meet and greet.

2) Bald Mountain...some of us have waited WAY too long to see this...almost as long as the Little Mermaid ride. Would LOVE to be chased by Ursula, Mal and Hook. How great would it be to have a CAVE tech ride at the MK?

Bald mountain concept is dead, it would ruin the sightlines for the castle. It also wouldn't fit with the new FL concept.

WOW your good I would have never thought to compare the well themed Space Mountain to a, lets face it, go kart track. Indy Speedway had its run in the parks now its time to move it elsewhere. I guess I just expect to be surrounded by more magic than a go kart track.

It may just be a go kart track to you, but SOME of us remember our fathers' taking us on it as a young child...then taking our own kids on it when we were older. Also, it remains a crowd favorite for some unknown reason - probably nostalga, but it does have crowds of riders.

Just because you don't like it or think it belongs, does not make it so - it's just your opinion. Master Yoda had a good analogy - something that seems to be lost on people today.

Personally, if Indy Speedway were removed, I would like to see it replaced with a Wall-E dark ride or attraction. Also, on another note, I'd like to see the Treehouse in Adventureland be replaced with something, anything...

If crowd control wins over popularity for the Speedway them I'm sure it will be removed. Why have something take up such a huge plot of land when they could have several new attractions helping with better crowd control.

Sorry, I do not agree that it was a good analogy. And second, I said they could move it and not get rid of it. Also, I dont think Disney has any problems getting rid of crowd favorites like 20K, Mr. Toad, JII, and AE. But I digress, like I sad from the start it was only my humble opinion. H ave a magical day : )
